I don't know, it feels kind of like Tekken 6's Super Street fighter 4. Wich is cool and all but not really a whole new game. I'd feel kinda ripped off paying full price for it. _________________

If it gets a reboot it will likely be dumbed down to appeal to a larger audience.I don't want another of my past favourite series being changed so much so that I no longer have any interest in it. _________________ Welcome to the internet. Where any joke can turn into WWIII.

Tekken doesn't need a reboot. Tekken 6 was a major overhaul from T5DR, like it changed everything for the better. As a game I feel Tekken 6 is complete gameplay wise, aside from a few small hitches. Tag will be awesome.
-New characters and returning old characters
-Tag Mode
-New gameplay mechanics
-Updated graphics
-Mini games
-Tutorial mode
etc etc _________________

She better be!
Otherwise they should do a re-boot with her in it, OR just make a game with just her in it.
The Tekken series was never the same after Tekken 2, it took a dramatic slide when they took her out.
But then, all was right in the world they brought her back in Tekken Tag, but disaster struck when Tekken 4 onwards didn't include her any more. Don't get me started on "Unknown" which ppl thought it was "Jun" possessed or some crap like that.
I had to use cast offs like Asuka and Jin to get my fix, it wasn't pretty. I cried many times each time I won in the arcades, it wasn't right. _________________

See apart from the Tag Mode that's pretty much what Super had over Vanilla SF 4. And I don't think tag mode really constitutes a full new game rather then an add on. _________________

Tag function is a massive effort. It needs extensive balancing and it completely changes the style of gameplay.
Screw you Tekken haters. It's not worth trying to explain. _________________

Who said I hate tekken? I just don't see this as a whole new game but an add on. It's a cool add on sure, but it's not really a new game.
If they released Street Fighter 4 with a tag function I'd feel the same way. _________________

Tag 2 isn't just some add on, it changes how the game plays completely. Super didn't have updated gameplay mechanics, updated graphics nor a new tutorial mode. Tag 2 will have heaps more value for money than Super, why? Because the devs are actually changing how the game plays and looks, and adding a huge new amount of content. Super was way too rushed, look how they keep adding DLC for costumes and fixes and soon to be AE DLC, and the changes weren't even game changing. Tag 2 is an entirely new game in it's own right.
Remember Tag 1? Well according to you guys, it's basically Tekken 3 with Tag function. Did fans and the mainstream love it? Hell yes. Did they complain of Namco ripping them off since it's 'just an add on'? Of course not.
So please, if you are going to judge your view on just one video and complain about it all, then I have nothing more to say, it's just too tiring trying to explain this stuff to haters. _________________

Selection between two ultras for every character and an entirely new challenge mode? (Also one of the major points of Super was that it would have hooks in it for new DLC characters that they couldn't do with vanilla, hence Yun and Yang.)
Also as stated before I don't remember Tag 1, I never played it.
I'm not saying it's bad, hell I bought super day 1. But I paid 40 bucks for super and felt happy with that since it was an add on I sure as shit wouldn't have touched it if it was the same price as Vanilla. Admittedly tag does seem more substantial but I still don't think it's really worth an entirely new full price game. Id probably buy it for around $60.
But you know what, fuck it. I'm trying to understand how it counts as a new game when from everything I've seen it really just looks like Tekken 6 with tag added. But you've decided I'm a hater and not worth talking to.
I mean why try to have a rational conversation when you can label someone as a hater?
TLDR: Get over yourself. _________________

The amount of times the Tekken thread(s) get filled with arguments amazes me... And I know you enjoy it Leon haha.
Benza, because you didn't play the first tag I can see how you don't really understand the difference. My suggestion then is to hire out Tag 2 on release and see how you go. I am almost certain that you will be pleasantly surprised. _________________

Don't take this as trying to start an argument but why is SF so special? It's something I have always wondered.SF to me seems to just be a fighting game about throwing projectiles and doing 3 different moves.
SF just feels like a really basic fighting game.Buy that I mean in the amount of moves you can do, not saying that the series is easy as the few times I have played SF I have found it too hard to play.

You missed out on an awesome game.TTT was SO damn fun.Hell it was probably more fun than the actual series.
I spent a shitload of time playing that.TTT alone made buying a PS2 on launch worth it.Sadly I could only hire it when Ifirst got my PS2 and I didn't have a memory card so I couldn't save. But that didn't stop me from aving an absoluet baslt playing it.I was extremely happy when I finally got a copy for myself. _________________ Welcome to the internet. Honestly I found the complete opposite, my first tekken I played properly would have been 5 and the move list was just damn intimidating. (Untill I realized that most of them were just combos) Basically the way I see it is really the tekken characters have more moves but not by a significant amount. There move list just counts there different combos as different moves. So say you do jumping heavy kick, crouching light kick, crouching light kick, medium koyruken as dan in SF4, in his move list the only move listed will be the koyruken. Were as that combo would probably have a name in Tekken and be listed under his move list.
Also in general I find Tekken to have timing and rhythm as a far more important aspect.
But then I'm not really that good at either so take it with a grain of salt. _________________

Like I said I'm not pro in either game, just calling what I see.
The move list in Tekken seems to be more sequences of attacks then a single move. Makes em seem like combos to me. _________________
