Does anyone know the cheapest place to order this for XBOX 360 online? Because I've been checking it out in the shops here and seeing it cost $95 at the cheapest at JB just seems crazy if I want to buy a keyboard too. If I could order both from the same place even better.

If you're willing to import a PAL version, you can get the game by itself from Zavvi for about $60 AUD posted or ozgameshop for $65 AUD. I got mine from GAME online for $84, but they don't seem to have it anymore. There's also a guy in the game exchange selling a new copy for $80 posted.
I'm not sure about the keyboard prices, but from what I've read since the Aussie RRP was revealed, it's much cheaper to import the instruments as well. Zavvi have a keyboard + game bundle, but I don't know if they'll ship the instrument here.

Cheers. I'll have a look at how much effort this is to do for 25 points. It's annoying that they put an achievement in that is impossible to get if your account is in a certain region (doubly so for the crap RB players like me that need easy achievements like this one to make our RB3 gamerscore look less pitiful ) _________________

It's genuinely a great free song though, it's got a fantastic guitar solo that isn't difficult, but is fun to play. _________________

Yep, I have a UK copy of RB2, bought the export key for $1.95 on day 1, this morning the pack is finally available to download from the Australian store. _________________

That's good news, however I just got done talking to EA again and they're telling me they still don't have any more tokens.. Rock Band is clearly of the 'treat em mean, keep em keen' mindset - if I didn't think the game was far superior to GH I would've given up going so far out of my way to support them a long time ago.

It's probably like the Green Day and Lego export packs and is hidden until activated by a token

Argh, finally got a token by using the latest Firefox browser. Now I've just gotta cart my ps3 to uni to download the export (and Undead Nightmare while I'm at it) and I can finally stop feeling like the game is incomplete - not that Soundgarden isn't still leaving a gaping hole (no, Jesus Christ Pose really doesn't make up for Spoonman and BHS)

Keyboard on pro mode is ****ing impossible (at least on hard/expert on the harder songs). I've been playing piano for 16 years and I think that actually makes it harder, because the way in which the track works is so different from sheet music. It's not actually playing the notes that's difficult, it's registering fast enough which key to press, since it's hard to associate the notes on the track with the notes on the keyboard. I also definitely wouldn't recommend playing it on a small screen, not with the number of notes _________________

^see comments like that put me off parting with $100+.^
I'll stick to my pro drum mode, and look forward to the Fender Squire being released, as I prepare my patience to be tested, but it will be oh so worth it! ^_^ _________________

I think it'd be fine on non-pro mode, and in the easier pro modes. Just need some practice before going straight into the harder stuff, ie. don't launch straight into Bohemian Rhapsody on pro hard/expert like I did. _________________

I'd assume once you got used to reading the charts and played the songs a few times you'd be able to play a lot better though. And I'd think that the Pro guitar would be even harder than the keyboard, for solos anyway, you would just have to memorise the chords or have quick reactions for most songs.

Wow, next week is gonna be expensive for me - I've still gotta get the other 9 Doors tracks too. I was hoping we'd get the gamestop pre-order songs sooner rather than later so it's good to see we get them next week as well.
I wish there was a better way of handling legacy upgrades though. It's okay if you just want to add pro guitar or bass for the same add-on price it is set at anyway, but I just want keys and have to re-buy the song. So for people who want pro guitar and keys they've turned an upgrade into a rebuy + upgrade - I don't think I'll be doing much of this.

I am saving for the Squier come March. I'm hoping that I can can get it and the midi adapter shipped for under $400. Hopefully the dollar is even better by then (predicting it could get as high as 1.13).
Last plastic music game I got was the original guitar hero. Always wanted to get one of the newer band games but they were always too much. Will probably try and grab a rock band 2/3 drum kit at some point in the future as well.
More info about the Strat. It is supposedly based off of the $200 - $250 Strat, not the Bullet which makes it much better value. The Strat Bullet is a piece of shit that sells for $120 and it is why you may see guitar pricks talking lots of shit about this one. I can't wait to learn how to play the guitar properly. I tried a couple years ago but it was just too boring at the start.

I caved on the Pro Guitar dealy and ordered a Mustang for $175.
I figured it's worth it over the 4-5 months it will take to get the proper Strat. >_> _________________
