Looks like HMX and EA were just teasing us again, they dangled the 21st as the release date until last minute and now everyone is being informed of the big joke and that we're actually getting it on the 28th.
What did we do to them by the way? Is it something the government can apologise for like with the stolen generation? Really getting sick of Australia being the butt of Rock Band's jokes.
It's probably not over either, I'm not convinced that when I go into a store on the 28th I wont see RB2 and have them claim that's the new one down here. [/rant]

Well my girlfriend pre-ordered a keyboard for me through EB (out of desperation unfortunately) and they did tell me to expect a call from the 27th to 31st so that does make sense if the game is delayed as well. It's a shame, had the day off Thursday so was going to go pick the game up on its own up anyway.

With all that said though, some retailers (GAME particularly) are still saying it'll be on shelf on Thursday so we could still be surprised - it's just looking less and less likely every day. Either way, I'm gonna be checking places every chance I get between now and whenever I finally get it

I just checked with GAME and they're saying the same thing about Rock Band 3. 'Not till next week at this stage' was the sales persons answer.

The IGN review said it more like 6 1/2 hours and that the difficulty is pretty full on.
I play games on easy cause I am lame and enjoy kicking ass but I am an ultra slow conservative gamer so I still get my moneys worth. It would take me 7 hours on easy.

I heard GAME isnt stocking RB3 in stores, only online.
I've got Fable and Smackdown vs RAW 2011 preordered for next week. Can't wait! I'm stoked for Fable, but have been getting hyped about smackdown for months and months, Thursday can't come soon enough.

GAME have been telling a lot of people that they wont stock many/any copies of RB3 on shelves and that pre-ordering is the only way to be sure of getting one from them. From memory I'm pretty sure they didn't stock Green Day at all

More notes on Rock Band 3:
People with preorders online through GAME have started being charged today and are seeing their status change to 'pending' so it looks like stock has finally reached the warehouse.
There's mass confusion on if the street date is strict or not, some stores are expecting to have the game by Tuesday and are saying they will sell it right away.
Kmart & Target have both stated they wont stock RB3 in emails to people on the RB forum.
EB isn't getting exclusivity on the keyboards, JB Hi-Fi will also have a limited number (keep an eye on that, price-matchers, JB's price is $134 atm but it may have a lower introductory price).
Even cheaper way of getting keyboards is just get it off amazon. I did and mine will arrive on Monday for $110 all up (which is excellent news as Kotaku are reporting PS3 will see an instrument delay of a further three weeks).
