@cap Hows the books going man?
That promo just made me click my heels, looks so well made.....there will be a second season for sure.....how can we support this shiz before it comes on tv here. Here lies the tv conundrum, we want to see it, we will want to dl it, or we wait to watch it on tv here, like a year later, neither of which lend our support to the original run, any suggestions......get the dvd i guess but then that doesnt count at the ratings table either, meh it looks punishing anyway.

Haha, finished 'This Sorrowful Life' last night :)
If they make it this far with the TV series, I'm seriously freaking out at how much they're willing to show. The stuff that happens in both chapters of Book 3 were both incredible and utterly, utterly disturbing. Even though I was anticipating it, it was still hard to get through that scene. You'll know the one...
The Governor was a brilliant addition to the series. *BIG Spoiler* Thank Christ he survived! That was a 'fuck yes!' moment. I'm eagerly awaiting his return, especially considering the state his body (and mind) will be in. *Spoiler* Also, Danny Trejo. Get on it casting people.
One thing that is bugging me slightly, and has been since it happened was replacing artist Tony Moore with Charlie Adlard. Moore's art was incredible, Adlard's... not so much. He has such limited range and it doesn't seem to be getting any broader as the issues go forward. Compared to Moore's stuff, it's almost amateurish. I'm not a fan unfortunately. It doesn't bother me so much any more, but it does rear up every now and then. It's a shame but what can you do...

I don't know how long these have been out but the episodes have been named.
Episode 1 - Pilot
Episode 2 - Dead Man's Identity
Episode 3 - Fresh Meat
Episode 4 - Cold Blood
Episode 5 - Highway to Hell
Episode 6 - Unhappy Ending
Also AMC have released a whole bunch of short snippets of footage. Nothing too substantial but I'll take anything they've got.

Forgive Us
Western
And an update on my book progress, just finished Chapter 7, 'The Calm Before'. Quick impressions FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...

Been a TWD devotee for quite a while now; it's a rarity these days for a comically to continually have you on-the-edge, there really hasn't been a definable lull over the course of the series at all.

i ordered the first 5 TPBs a while back, and have been reading them, and now wish to get the rest - however i notice that the first 5 have covers that align with eachother to form a longer image across the bottom, but some i've seen don't have this "zombie bar".
are there versions that do and don't contain this bar, or are all versions the same?
ie:
  
only Volumes 1-3, but that continues to V6, but then V7 is:
it's not a deal breaker against getting them, but i'd prefer to have matching covers, if available.
(these are from Bookdepository, but i've seen the same things elsewhere.)

heh, yeah i bought the first 2 TPBs years ago - before i started my current job anyway - but never got around to reading them, no clue why, but now i have, i'm kinda addicted. filling in a nice gap in comic series anyway.
sweet - seems somewhere, someone has f**ked up the image they release to stores, because the (relatively few, admittedly) stores i checked, all had the one i posted, which didn't look right, since it didn't fit with the rest, but a couple of others in the 13 that are out were also sans Zombie Motif.
i would've been surprised if there was no zombie-bar version, but i just wondered if perhaps there were local versions - like zombie-bar for the US, no ZB for EU, or something.

Yo Obs, the "Vol. 7" image you posted is the cover image for issue #37, which is the first issue contained in that volume.
Generally, most of the mainstream comics are geared for US printing (ie. there's no 'regional printing'), unless you're picking up something in a different language.

"Generally" was the term in that explanation that had me worried - and since this is a "horror" book, thought i'd ask before i ordered so i wouldn't be disappointed when they came.
volumes 6-13 are now ordered and on the way.

I was wondering does anyone know if there going to do what mad men does when they say F*** they kind of turn the volume down so you can't hear it (Btw Mad Men is AMC to). It will be very very interesting to see what they do. Bring on 1st of November  i think i will be getting this sucker in HD!
