While i enjoyed Birth By Sleep, i dont see myself buying another Kingdom Hearts game anytime soon. This series is been milked far too much, the story is all over the place and its not really moving forward at all.

I feel exactly the same. Birth by Sleep was amazing for what it was; essentially a side story.

358/2 Days was disappointing in a number of ways. re:Coded is already unappealing for me, but I will probably end up buying it anyway. I'll complain about it now, but I'm just covering myself by saying that it's possibly a title I will be buying when it's released! icon_lol.gif

It's true, though, they really are milking this now ... and it's getting tiring.

Err...there are 3 main games for kh. Birth by sleep is considered as "kingdom hearts 0" which makes the same importance as number 1 and 2.

Then there's Kingdom Hearts 3DS coming out as well, which could belong to either, we don't know yet. I personally think it could end up being the actual Kingdom Hearts 3DS myself.

Actually i remember reading somewhere that Kingdom Hearts 3DS will contain story elements from all 3 spins offs (Days, BBS and Re:coded), possibly concluding at least some of the story from the spin off titles.

Also i wish they would keep the damn series on one console...im not a big fan of a game series spanning 4 different consoles.

I don't see any of the games as side stories really, they all tell a part of the same big story. Just because they're not numbered doesn't mean that they are side stories in any way. They just don't want to confuse people since they aren't making the games in their chronological order. They're being mindful of this, unlike Kojima with the Metal Gear Solid series, where MGS3 was actually a prequel - weird.

^ Assuming people are into "high-quality" graphics when it comes to kingdom hearts, hence they want to see SE making use of it by releasing it on bigger platforms, such as PS2. I reckon if sides games were all released on bigger platforms, there wouldnt be a problem XD.

I guess I never really looked at it like that before ... but you're right. While it's not directly related to Sora,

Still, I do enjoy getting the backstory and learning new things about the universe and the characters, not to mention reliving key moments of the Disney worlds and reminiscing about the movies, but it doesn't change the fact that I would rather an actual KH3 as opposed to any of the games currently announced.

I think the series would have been better off with just KH1, KH2, KH3 and Birth by Sleep as a prequel (every series needs a prequel!). Any important story elements from the other games could have easily been incorporated into the main series, or better yet, never implemented.

I will still keep an eye on Re:coded...the only reason is because i fear i NEED to play it to be able to enjoy anything in KH3.
