I like the idea of Sony Exclusives as PS3 HD remakes (ala Sly Cooper, Jak & Daxter, God of War, Ico or even Ratchet & Clank) but when they start to churn out HD remakes like this, it starts to make you think that publishers have officially gotten lazy/run out of ideas..
Then again.. I suppose PoP HD would be pretty sweet..

agree with you pdaddy, i kind of only want Sony HD Classics... it just dilutes the brand if they start bringing every single PS2 game out...

If you looked at my post genius, I wrote series, this also constitutes X3-8, which were released on Sony consoles. 
Oh and Megaman X1 was remade onto the PSP as well.

Well if you actually know anything about MEGAMAN X releases, all the Nintendo versions were re-released on the PS2.
There's a Megaman X Collection released back in January 2006 released on the PS2 covering Megaman X 1 through to 6.
Megaman X7 and X8 were of course released on the PS2.
Since this whole topic is about PS2 games being re-released on the PS3 in HD format, it's not inconceivable for a Megaman series to be requested.

Not necessarily; it means that they are prepared to make lots of money doing minimal work, and at the same time promoting their brands. They're still going to make new Team ICO, God of War, Prince of Persia, Metroid, Rayman, Splinter Cell and Tom Clancy games. It's just that they're cashing in on the old as well as the new.

Plus more interest for the old games increases the likelihood/sales of new games Its really win win, we get to play updated versions of our beloved games or ones we missed, developers profit off minimal effort, increased interest in the series.
I love this HD remake idea. And any of those games would be awesome with PS Move imo, except maybe Mortal Kombat.

I don't really understand the Mortal Kombat collection... I mean one Mortal Kombat is more or less the same as another Mortal Kombat.
I'd like to see a Kingdom Hearts HD collection and a proper Kingdom Hearts 3 announced.

Thinking about it I would actually prefer HD remakes of many of my old favorites to a lot of the crap they are churning out today.
But I suppose that's just the nostalgia talking.

I like the suggestion and i will probably purchase the majority of the one's that interest me.
I can't think of many titles that i'd like to see other than Metal Gear Solid 1 - 3 (even though MGS 1 is in the psn as a psone classic).
I wouldn't mind Gran Turismo, seems a wasted exercise considering it has spawned sequels, including the upcoming GT 5. However the original GT is probably still my most loved and most played despite the obvious graphical + track + car additions from sequel to sequel.
There are other obvious one's like final fantasy vii.
