Minimal bonus content + minimalist discounts + forced to sustain subscription to make use of the content = bullshit. _________________

I think for $7 a month or whatever it is - its actually a bargain...
normally $69.95 gets you one game... but essentially you're renting out 10 or 20 titles for a year for $70.
on xbox live if you suddenly got the same deal 20 titles on rental for a year - i think people would be really happy - its just a matter of perception. _________________

The problem is most of the discounted content available is... already available content; stuff that's been around for yonks. If I wanted Wipeout HD that badly I would've paid in full for it months ago when it released. It seems nonsensical for the average Joe/Jane to pay for a discount and maintain a subscription to keep the content all at the same time. _________________

yes the entire season for free with PLUS.
I think I worked it out to be $5.80 per month for PSN+ so I just look at each month individually and decide whether I think I got my money's worth and I have to say I have got at least that each month.

Does anyone know how to upgrade the subscription? Currently I'm on the 3 month option, but wanted to go up a notch. _________________ Playing: Fallout: New Vegas

I'm jealous, PS Plus members (EU/Aus) get the Castlevania demo this update. I still am holding off getting Plus though, but something is bound to eventually make me get it. _________________

I'd download it, but I already have a review copy of the game lined up. _________________

Big news! The PS Plus section of the store just updated, and we got something awesome! Killzone 3 Beta! Yes, that's right, all PS Plus subscribers have access to the Killzone 3 beta - right now. Something interesting is that even the U.S PS Plus section doesn't have this! _________________

was just thinking that once VITA is here; that PSN plus might become much much more valuable - with the games being available online and being discounted.
Going to look into getting this now. Haven't jumped on the PS3 in ages so I'll pop on now to see what the priceguide is now. _________________

A) AU PSN+ worth it? Anyway to find out when and if dino crisis/parasite eve are coming?
B) what's the best way to get USA credit again?!? _________________

I recommend HD Movie Source. They have cheap U.S PSN cards. I buy mine there. _________________

If you subscribed to playstation plus for a year, then don't continue the subscription after the year is up, do you get to keep all the "free" games you were given as a playstation plus member in that year?

Good news for those who have a U.S account/credit:
| Quote: | Sony announced today that two legendary PSOne classics will be released this week on the US Playstation store, compatible with both the PS3 and the PSP.
The two titles, definitely anticipated by the fans are Final Fantasy VI (Initially released in the US as Final Fantasy III) and Chrono Trigger. |

I think that's all games except the PSone games. You'll still be able to play the PSone games. _________________

ended up with a 1year sub to USApsn+
currently downloading RE4 HD @ $10 (compared to the $30 or $15psn+AU) and also got the 3 PSones RE (re1directors cut+2+nemesis free).
Took me a while to decide to get the US PSN - but the RE4 stuff made it impossible to refuse it. Plus I think that once Vita is here; USApsn+ will really make it worthwhile. The AU store just does not compare. _________________

Different PSN+ freebies every 2 days for the next few weeks
| EU PSN Blog wrote: | Hello all, and welcome to a very special PlayStation Plus update.
You may have already seen Andy’s recent ’12 Deals of Christmas’ update where we’ll be offering you a great deal every two days on the PlayStation Store, in most cases with an additional discount for our loyal Plus subscribers. But that’s not all!
Starting today, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download one title from PlayStation Store at no extra cost, every two days – this will include 8 PSN titles, two minis and two PSone Classics, which will all be yours as long as you’re a subscriber. These 12 titles have all been available in Plus before over the last 18 months, and so are perfect for new subscribers or those who have joined recently. If you want to discover which games you can grab without having to pay a penny, you’ll have to head over to PlayStation Store and check them out, but we’ll be updating this post with information on each title – just be sure to download them before they’re gone.
Our first gift title is SEGA’s classic, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 which will be available to download at no cost for Plus subscribers until 3rd December, when a new title will be available.
Remember, all these are added extras to this month’s content – as a PlayStation Plus subscriber you can still expect the same level of great content during December 2011, as well as enjoying this superb offer, which is perfect for filling gaps in your collection if you’re a late-comer to Plus, or even better if you’ve never been a subscriber before.
The sooner you become a member, the more time you’ll have to download extra games, so don’t waste a moment – subscribe to PlayStation Plus now and grab your 12 Gifts of Christmas.
Thanks guys – I wish you all a very happy festive period! |
Sonic 2 is pretty good. Hoping the others are good games too =) _________________
