Although I hate U2 immensly, massive props to them for charging the amount that they are, seriously. It seems as though every band these days love sitcking it up to their fans by charging $100+ for the 'privilege' to see one of their shows.

Just got off the phone with Etihad to see if I could change my flight to the following week. They can do it...but it's going to cost $750 extra. I like U2 and I really wanted to see that stage, but I can't justify spending that kind of money for Bono (and definitely not for Jay-Z).
Hopefully I can see them in some other part of the world before this tour ends. _________________

WTF? That's a bizarre line up. I'd absolutely love to see Katatonia, but the rest of those bands don't do much for me. Except for 3 Inches of Blood, which would be funny.
And GWAR, of course.

So, handling charges for the cheapest U2 tickets (39.90) are half the price of the ticket.
Yeah Stuff paying $60 to see them with terrible seats. _________________

Damn, I might have wanted to hit that up... Love 'Enemy' n a couple of other songs of theirs, might have to grab some albums. I was surprised when they turned out to be fairly decent. _________________

Been to Bondall plenty of times to witness fantastic shows that took my breath away! Including Metallica last time they rocked Brissie
Yes heaps of food and drinks available, but expect to pay up $$$ so my advice is to have dinner b4 u go then pruchase chippies/popcorn and bevvies there. You can take it into the arena with you. But if you meant can you bring in food, drink etc that you bought from home...no.
There's a bar there as well, but expect to pay through the roof and be denied to take inside the arena, depending where your seats are or in the mosh.
Dont wear studded belt or jewellery that has any kind of sharp studs. Security will throw it in these huge bins and then probably sell them at a later date... If you take a bottle, they will tip it into a cup. Be prepared for a touch-up by security, while they go through your bag. ANd for the love of god...don't wear thongs if you're in the mosh...just like these prissy young girls did at Fooies...found peices of rubber all over the shop upon our departure....spotted the girls in tears....
Heaps of car parks avail for around $10, but expect a huge grid lock after
you rocked the place.. I've driven most times i've been there only cos it'll take longer via public transport.
here's a linky for more info:

Interpol @ The Palais (Jan 7th 2011) goes on sale tomorrow, ticket price $86.70.
ARGH!
I haven't even heard the new album, and that's just shy of $90 fucken! But! Interpol! I... am so conflicted! I would pay that much just to see them play through Turn on the Bright Lights from start to finish! But how much of that album will get played, when they'll be touring for the new and there's two (arguably more popular) others between them?
Anyone else interested? Tanya? _________________
