Ok so I stumbled across this offer at Harvey Norman that expires tomorrow.
With this tempting offer. $796!!

If I do get this, it will be to replace my current 4 year old lappy. I pretty much just want this to run Starcraft 2 ok. My primary computer(s) for the last few years has been a mac and I use them for editing and pretty much everything else so I don't really care about running CS4/5 on this, but if it can run it fine than that's a bonus. While my mac at the moment theoretically has these specs, SC2 runs fairly bad because of the way it chews up video memory on OSX.
I can justify myself buying this because I can't really consider this an impulse buy (a long time coming) and I have a few things I can sell to make back part of the money ^______^
So the almighty Palgn community, if I went and bought this tomorrow, will I be able to run Starcraft 2 properly? And is it worth the bargain?
Edit: Argh forgot to mention, due to my budget I'm not looking to spend anymore than $800ish.

230m is a Nvidia card...You have a Ati Radeon so I'm not sure what bobkid is talking about....

I dont mean to curse you but chances are its sold out since that deal has been live for a while now.. but good luck anyway ^___^
And yeah the 5650 is a pretty awesome little laptop graphics card. Support for DX11 (its not really powerul enough to make any actual use of it), and should be able to play starcraft with fairly nice detail levels. Also it should have a HDMI out as well.

Great laptop for the price. It should run SC2 very well at medium settings. You can't expect a lot from a laptop in terms of gaming but the one you listed is quite good.

Sweet!!! Got one. Will be in tomorrow. Massive thanks Zhou for all of your help. The first store I went to didn't have any so they told me to go to another nearby store. I was in luck as they were getting in on tues.

Like the day I knew my laptop was coming, I literally skipped a whole day of classes and camped my front door, paranoid I would miss the UPS delivery guy.

The called me today and told me that now they are delayed and wont be in till next month. Oh my god! Rageeee. Why keep tempting me by saying it would be in the next day?!?!
He said I can wait or get some Acer as4741g for the same price. I just googled the specs and it is no where near as good. I'm going to wait..... but I may have no sanity left by the time it comes T___________T

It's a bloody good spec laptop for the price and next month is only a week away! Unless of course they meant the end of next month.
