I'm actually interested to see how well this will do.
No one I know that I used to play with still plays. Esspecialy with all the upcoming mmo's like knights of the old republic, dc online, guildwars 2 etc.
I have the special edition for Vanilla, Burning Crusade and Wraith but I honestly don't know if I'm even gunna bother picking up Cataclysm at all. _________________

Pre-ordered this when cataclysm was announced; made sure yesterday it was upgraded to a CE pre-order.

You're not wrong, Inigel. I got the last allocated pre-order at EB for it last night after work.
It's... kind of amazing. Benza? I have a feeling Cataclysm will do fine. The days of exponential growth for WoW are gone, but WoW's probably going to be around for another 5-7 years, would be my guess.

Not quite true, their website is still allowing for preorders and they've got free postage until the end of today or you can pick it up in store.
I just preordered my copy then, I've got WoW and all the expansions sitting here but never played past about level 30 previously and haven't played in like 2 years. Getting ready for the new PC I'll be getting early next year, then I'll become a WoW addict again. _________________

wow - i'm genuinely surprised...
not by the date, it's been kind of "known" for a few days now, but that they didn't hold off announcing until Blizzcon, which is only like 2 weeks away. _________________
