It's a long video, but worth watching, they show a lot about the game, looks so much better than Rock Band 2. They also start playing Pro guitar around the 21 minute mark, so if you just want to see that skip to there.

I'm wagering November 25 or December 2. _________________

October 26th is the US date, and didn't they say it was a worldwide release? I hope we get it then too. Though I don't know if I should get the keyboard or Squier first, probably the Squier as I'm more interested in learning the guitar than keyboard.

Press release that announced the Oct 26 date also confirmed a simultaneous release for Australia and New Zealand. So yeah. _________________

I didn't see that, that's awesome. I hope we get the Squier over here though, and that it doesn't cost too much.

Re:Piano
Playable flat or strapped over the shoulder
That is so cool, although I do not like Rock Band much, if Guitar Hero don't offer such a thing then I may come back to it. Would love to try out the Piano instrument, would be far better suited to me then the other 5 instruments. (The 5th one being the DJ one)

Cause it is a real guitar. It's just another way to learn to play, nothing wrong with that.

Just noticed listing for the Instruments on the EB website, with the oh so annoying 'exclusive to EBgames' just above the price.
For those interested, Keytar $139, Fender Mustang Wireless Pro $298 and the Wireless Drum Set is also $298 _________________

Wow, the Mustang is double the US price. I'd hate to think how much the Squier will be, I think I'll be glad I bought one instead of waiting for the Rock Band version.

holy shit at those prices....so much for buying the Keytar here and just importing the game(US copy here).
Also: wtf at price for drum set. Isn't the Wireless drums just the Rock Band 2 drums and only the cymbals are upgraded(Allows for differentiation between pad and cymbal in pro mode compared to the original version's "only makes cymbal noise in drum trainer")?
EA are fuck-ing retarded, no wonder GH does better in Europe.... I mean i imported the RB2 special edition(All instruments + game) for $340. They want $290 just for Drums and cymbals? jesus. I'm pretty sure i can hunt down those improved cymbals for only $60-70 online.... _________________

Is there some way where we can import our own music into rock band 3 and it'll work out notes and things?
Or at least an editor where we can get the community to do the songs.
I've got heaps of japanese songs that have no chance of getting on the rock band store but i really want to play them.
... perhaps i should just learn the real guitar _________________

I don't think there's a way to do that cause of copyright laws. You could always get Frets on fire for pc though. _________________

Can't wait for the Fender Squier. Totally expecting a price of $400 just to spite EB's Mad Catz exclusivity deal. _________________

+1. I'll be buying it regardless of the price.
So GH:WoR comes out in 2 weeks - smart move by Activision? IMO, it has the better setlist, but we all know RB is the superior franchise in terms of gameplay.
Think I'll pass on the Keytar/Guiboard. _________________

i can't believe the prices on the pro guitar
who is going to spend that much money on a guitar..... people who've been playing rock band for the last 3-4 years are probably done with music games.
i just went back and played rock band the other day - and it was fun but it wasn't the awesome experience it was when it first came out.
and just checked out the piano stuff... i kind of agree with benza but for the keyboard... i have a real piano/digital keyboard at home... i think id much rather play that than be cramped on a 25 key keyboard and trying to time hitting stuff as it comes down the highway... which is a most unusual way of playing music...
as a music game the highway works, but as a teaching/learning tool... i find it cumbersome.... there's an extra challenge trying to learn stuff as it speeds towards you... _________________

I for one, am getting the Fender squier guitar - with 6 strings, not the mad catz one selling at EB for $249. The Fender Squier I will have to import, so Im looking at roughly $500. Its just a hobby dude. Some people buy classic cars to customise them, some people collect baseball cards, some people collect memorabilia of their favourite TV show. We all have a hobby and personally, Rock Band/Guitar Hero is mine.
I've spent $2000 minimum alone buying Guitars, kits, games, toys/memorabilia, pimping my ION drum kit with customisable cymbals, kick pedals etc. I don't even want to say how many hours I've played rock band 2, having beat the career mode 3 times. Could all that time have been spent learning a real instument? Sure. But I find this enjoyable....4 years and still going strong!
Arepeople who have played COD since #4 sick of COD games? Highly unlikely, as they've probably pre-orderd Black Ops.

You can buy an adapter/splitter {or something, I forgot what they're called} so you can use a real electronic keyboard for pro mode, not the cheap little 25 key thing. Although this probably won't change your mind.

I think its a good idea too {though not cumbersome}. This adds something different to the game besides new characters, levels, songs, etc *cough*guitar hero 6*cough* _________________
