Just read here that Kinect was officially priced sometime yesterday.
$149.99 US.
Pretty sure I'm going to pass on both this and Move now. What a flat out waste of money. _________________

Yeah wonder what that will convert to in AUD. Hopefully no more than $200.
Regardless Im going to pass as well for a very long time, none of the titles shown so far interest me in anyway. Casual gaming ftl! _________________ XBL/PSN/Steam: BenC82

$200 ?!?!?! Considering people turn their nose up at $79 for an xbox control and 89 for a ps3 control, I wonder just how well this would sell.
Don't get me wrong, I actually don't mind the xbox, (I actually beleive PCs are the masters of the gaming race), but this comic and its derivations comes to mind whenever a customer comes in eagerly expecting for us to somehow be stocking it. _________________

I just heard $170au on the radio so it's a lot cheaper than I thought it was going to be. Still won't buy it yet unless I see something I like

Umm... That price you mention at the top is not just for the camera. It includes Kinect Adventures as well. Still, not a very 'casual' price is it? _________________

*Cough* I'll pass on that, thanks. I'd rather spend the money on actual games.

The games in the US are priced around US$50 as well... so just slightly below their usual mark of US$60 but still far more than I'd pay for those sorts of "casual" games
Not that I have an Xbox _________________

The Arcade Bundle with Kinect is temping ($300 US?) which will be what $500 AU here? I would like a new 360 Slim eventually.
Problem is that only comes with a 4 gig HDD, so you are kind of screwed. I wonder if they are planning to release a bigger HDD bundle. _________________ Shin J Leon.

cant you just use usb's now that the update came in? or am I am wrong?
I also believe that they should have offered more than one game. I mean adventures looks VERY casual. If they offered that OR Dance central for example which to me is one of the only games i cant play on my wii than I may have been almost a bit interested. _________________

Was that from Microsoft because I think it was just a straight conversion.

The 4 gig Slim with Kinect is the same price as the the 250 gig slim which is $US300. So I'd say it'll be the same in Australia with a price of $450.

Maybe when there is at least a few *amazing* games for it, I'd actually consider buying it. Too be honest, I can only think of fad style games that would actually work with it.
I am quite happy with a controller. Lengthy periods of movement control doesn't excite me. If I want to move about, I'll go exercise.

I'm pretty keen on it, won't be picking it up at launch though but that price seems reasonable. (I paid about that for the guitar hero world tour with the drums) _________________

No more peripherals for the 360 for me.... I love hanging out with mates over live, but I just can't trust the thing enough to buy anymore.

Microsoft are crazy if they think they can charge $199 for this thing. I bought two Move controllers and a game for less than that. _________________
