I'm sure you could (I'm below average), Sean is my main character for the moment mainly cause I'm fed up of playing Ryu, Ken and Akuma, I've been playing them since I had SFA3. Sticks are too difficult though, I'm better with a pad (least I can get moves out when I want them, but I'm still sub average, I'm just starting to "get" combos).

Substance on the PS2 - Xbox couldn't keep up with the PS2's fill rate, so certain scenes such as the outside deck of Tanker suffered significant slowdown. It also features an extra skateboarding mini-game, with a remixed version of the main theme but sadly, that remix is the only thing good about it
I too can see the inevitable release of an Integral/Substance version of MGS3 - will probably get rid of the original version just before it comes out, unless there are enough changes to justify hanging onto the vanilla copy. _________________ Retro Gaming Australia

hehe, i traded MGS2:SoL in for MGS2:Sub when the time came... the guy at EB looked at me funny, but meh...
i got a good deal for it too, at the time they had a voucher to double the trade in value of any games, and it was before they reduced the trade-in value of SoL, so it ended getting me $60 back... which was nice... and with another game i didn't want thrown in i didn't spend any money... _________________

That actually surprises me slightly. Oh well, I'll be getting the Ps2 version of Substance. Thanks for that. _________________

Around £7 a month isn't it? Enjoy paying your £3360
(Assuming we're still using GBP in the next 40 years )

Re playing Final Fantasy 8 (the best game ever) |
I completely agree with that Final Fantasy 8 being the greatest game ever. On FFX I've just defeated the last dark aeon. I guess Budokai 1 is a very good game but i'm playing:
-San Andreas
-Budokai 3
-Need for speed underground 2
And i'm re-playing a game called Duke Nukem Manhatan Project it's great. _________________

ok, now back to Sword of Mana. I'm not bothered right now to go and train my guys and get better weapons and more Djinn and stuff in Golden Sun. It looks like a lot of effort. _________________

I havent had to much time for FF8 at the moment but im up to Timber 'again'.
In FFX though im getting pretty far in, im up to the land of calm - right on the bit when you have to eat the Chocobo eating fiend lol
Only tried it once, but I died
Does anyone know if you get to actually ride Chocobos at this point in the game? or is it later still? _________________

You can get Chocobos in that part of the game. By memory there is two paths - If you beat the monster you'll get a Chocobo and you'll remain on the top of the cliff. If you lose however, you get pushed off the cliff and you continue down a path below. If you take the bottom path, you won't get to ride a Chocobo till you get to the end of the path and there isn't really any point riding it.
Mangaman, I seriously suggest you keep at Golden Sun dude. It really is worth it. _________________

Wait until you meet his larger (optional) cousin at the Monster Arena
From what you've said, you're actually on Mi'Hen Highroad heading towards Mushroom Rock Road. And, you can (later) ride a chocobo up Mi'Hen Highroad, and also across the Calm Lands after some events much later on. _________________

yeah, what he said
i also got Medal of Honour: Pacific Assault Directors Edition... and yeah... meh really...
i've not really gotten into it, it's almost trying too hard to be CoD IMO, and not succeeding, maybe the later levels will be better, but at the moment it's too fricken hard to do anything...
it's a shame though, i quite enjoyed the Pearl Harbour levels, but now i'm on the islands (very Medal of Honour: FarCry) and i just can't see what's shooting me... i guess thats why armies paid so much for camoflage testing...
it's a shame, i'm really in the mood for a new FPS, but after CoD:UO, MOH:PA seems too sluggish... _________________

on PC, MOH:AA was good until COD came on the scene...
plus, the original MOH and MOH: Underground on PSX were pretty funky...
i haven't played the PS2 versions, i've heard they're not so good... plus FPS on console has yet to be done right imo... _________________

got Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay - Director's Edition (thats a title and a half...) for PC... it's pretty good from what i've seen... it looks like what Doom 3 could have been... runs very nicely on my PC too, especially compared to Doom 3, which ran well, but not great...
also, still playing WoW, and some MOH: Pacific Assault... though i'm still not sure about MOHPA...
haven't played anything on console for quite some time... _________________
