LA doesn't exactly have a good track record when it comes to locking up stars that do wrong. If she stays in jail the full term of her sentence (or even longer than one day - they're notorious for releasing celebrities within hours due to "over crowding") I will be really surprised.

Maybe her publicist recommended that she go to jail, it would be the biggest thing to happen in her career in a long while. Afterwards she can go on Oprah and Dr. Phil and all that jazz, make a bio pic about her harrowing experience, it will be great. They can call it "Squat and Cough: The Lindsay Lohan story", can't wait tbh.
