Oh no, if the game itself is extremely high quality than I don't really mind. Hell I've played through Mirror's Edge 8 times now, bloody love it, even if it is short.
It's just that in recent times the average length of good games has been decreasing. I'd prefer if those awesome games lasted for 10 or 12 hours as opposed to 6 or 8.

Got to remember that even if it was an awesome game despite the short length, the quality of the game could have gone downhill if they extended it longer. So it was probably best to cut the games shorter and leave the gamer with a positive experience with the game even though it's length was there downfall.

out of curiosity, does anyone know if the new game catalog is active from the 1st of july, does this mean we will be getting it in the junk mail this week?
whenever i get a kmart or big w catalog, it is always mondayish for a sale that starts thursday. theres no stores near me, so maybe i wont get one, but i wonder if people will start getting the catalogues in the next few days, which would be a nice head start!

Just like a movie that over stays its welcome can become tedious and boring.
Those blockbusters like Uncharted 2 kept things fresh and thats why it was so good, if they could only do that for 5 hours, who cares? Not me because the ride it takes you on is worth the price of admission.

Just a question regarding game sale. Do the prices vary based on stores? So if a copy of a game is available at $12 (stickered on) in one store does it mean that this would apply to all game stores even if these other stores haven't marked down the game yet?

From what I have seen the prices seem to be the same across the stores. If one has a game cheaper its usually because it hasn't been updated yet. I could be wrong

Ok, I'll answer a few questions here.
Sale prices are the same across all store's, as its a company sale. However, it seems some stores have processed more stock than others.
Some prices scan up cheap and some don't. It all comes down to what has been processed into there system and what hasn't. keep in mind that most of the newer titles have not been reduced yet. Keep in mind that some games havn't been added to there system yet, so they are not reduced yet, eg Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain etc.
And for the doag. Heavy Rain will be $28 and God of War 3 will be $49 from what I saw in the catalogue.
Keep in mind that there are still alot of stuff that hasn't been discounted yet and alot of stuff isn't on there website.
The only reason I know about the prices for these games is because the Manager gave me a sneak peak at the catalogue, I wasn't even meant to see it.
Remember guys the official sale doesn't start till Friday.

Just getting the latest firmware update now.
As I said previously, I've had (and enjoyed) my original PSP for ages so wasn't expecting much with the Go, especially since my hands struggled with the controls when I tried it at launch but I'm enjoying it so far. The resolution might be the same but it just looks real crisp on the screen and the device itself is one smooth looking and feeling work of art.
Hope the 10 free games thing works...

Yeah, I canned (sold) my PSP phat to get a Go. Sony were just so stubborn with the price!
Of course the 10 free games will work. Just log onto the store with your PSP Go! and then download the theme from the store. If it doesn't call Sony. Should not be a drama at all. I saw the theme on the store.
I downloaded the new Sony (iTunes) Media Go thing. It's not bad, better then what is was anyway.
I also had a look at the store on the weekend and saw the games I will be getting (AU $):
Metal Gear Portable Ops ($9)
Metal Gear Peace Walker ($59)
FFVII (already own)
FFVIII ($16)
FFIX ($16)
Abe's Od ($8)
Abe's Ex ($8)
And I'm sorted. Looking forward to it.
