I just wanted to know if I could do the trade 3 for 1 deal for Super Mario Galaxy 2 before it gets released? I called JB and they said they had to do it on the day and I'm concerned that my trade bait will be duds by next week. _________________

Sometimes these firesales at Fishpond (and any other shop) are slightly damaged stock. Could just be dents or holes in the packaging or cracked cases in games, etc.
I once bought Dragon Age Origins from Fishpond about a month after release for $36.95. So it was a bargain! But when the game arrived it was missing a disc, I then complained and had to wait another week for the disc to arrive and when it did I got this:
Game works perfectly though. I'm just pointing out there are usually reasons for big price cuts. Sometimes you are lucky and they are only doing it as a promotional thing or clearing excess stock. Other times they are selling imperfect stock.
Would be interested to know in the condition of your PSPs.
Now only if I get get one of those DS XLs for crazy price.

The only thing I've ever gotten from FP was RdR Collectors Edition. The case had been opened as it was not sealed, the sticker was also not fully making contact on the case (The 360 seal sticker thing). The disc was loose and had sustained some scratches as a result.
I didn't actually buy it, it was a gift. But it definitely has made me think twice about ordering from FP in future.

So has mine, though I don't know how they could've shipped at 9 or 10pm, unless that means they boxed them up and they'll go out the next day. _________________ RIP Buddha 19/10/1952 - 03/01/2004

If you get a dud, then simply ask for a refund. I wasn't trying to get you worried, but just a heads up. Sorry dude.
If anyone here is looking for a good monitor, Dell has reduced the prices on their IPS (In-Plane Switching) monitors. The 24" can be had for $475 delivered with NRMA discount. THe 27" is $679. Sounds expensive but these are not vanilla TN panels.

^ Yeah true. If it is in suspect condition in anyway, I'll be shipping it back for sure. If the box is a bit bashed up I don't really care, as long as the unit is brand new.
EDIT -Mine is in this state: Admin Processing $161.96
They've added on $1.99 for some reason. What the hell is fishpond doing. Ship it already! _________________ Shin J Leon.

| ANDYBALLINA wrote: | Thanks to everyone for updating. While in GAME today, I got a sneak peek at the catalogue and there are some great bargains. I'll list what I remember seeing.
Dragon Age: Origins (PS3) - $39
Uncharted 2 (PS3) - $28
Heavy Rain (PS3) - $28
MAG (PS3) - $28
God of War 3 (PS3) - $49
Splinter Cell: Conviction (360) - $49
Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii) - $18 Pre owned
Batman: Arkham Asylum (PS3/360) - $28
Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time (PS3) - $24
I didn't get a decent look, cause the Manager just quickly showed me, but there where more great bargains.
But some great prices there and for those that don't own Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain, I highly, highly recommend picking those up, as they are truly amazing games.
They are doing the under $30 pricing later today apparently. |
Have any of these prices materialised yet? I haven't noticed anyone posting about buying them in the latest purchases thread... _________________

The next round of sales has been postponed for an unknown amount of time.

Odd, I ordered mine shortly after yours and I had received an email @ 10:01:04 PM saying it had shipped.
Although some other orders have taken about 8 hours for them to say shipped. You should be fine they say it should take up to 24 hours for them to ship it out.
The Admin fee is a bit bizarre though. I paid with Visa as well and received no fee :S _________________
