I was tempted to price match them for the $2 AION 60 day game cards when we found that GAME at West Lakes had run out, but we decided against it, and my manager did it for me at work instead XD

They're owned by game.co.uk which owns game.com.au

So they should be reliable, postage is on a per order basis so order a few things at once to make it worth your while.

Hope it's not finish by that day, maybe next week. Better check it by tomorrow or thursday.

picked up darksiders and dante's inferno today, got told that new release games are gonna be marked down on the weekend so i doubt it's finishing that early.

Ok, DSE Pricing updates came through this morning, there's quite a few bargains, I printed 360, PS3, PC and Wii titles under $20, of just the stock we had in store (Glenelg) I had 4 pages worth, some highlights below...

A = Active, should be easily acquirable at all stores
D/Q = Discontinued or Quit, check web or call store to check availability

*snip*

If you guys want, I can do a list tomorrow of games say from $20 to $40 or something, there's a lot I haven't listed like Red Steel 2 with Motionplus for $30 (I have now icon_razz.gif) and other Platforms (Nintendogs Dachshund $15), as well as tonnes of shovelware I couldn't be bothered typing up.

Worth checking out though.

Thanks heaps. Any chance you have a list of accessories, for example the 360 mics?

Also, I bought the 360 controller bundle on Saturday for $50 and now GAME have it for $28. Will DS give me a refund if I return? Or will they price match a price not available when I bought it? Thanks.

I saw the 360 Wireless Mic's at Dicksmith in Canberra for $30 on the Weekend. Not too sure if that was just at that store but it was pretty damn cheap. Let me know if you want me to pick one up if I see one tomorrow at Dicksmith on Commercial road.

thats why i dont see the point of ever getting a new release... they usually come down to $50 within a few months.... it takes a bit longer to get down to $30... so $50 is the sweet point... i guess the online community is a lot bigger at the start.

^ Well, I agree with you. But you don't need to wait. If you can finish a new game and then trade it in (best price + price match), you are only looking at around $30 difference. That's the model I follow anyway.

I picked up two today for $5 each at Dick Smith in the city. Was wondering if there were other great accessory bargains. icon_smile.gif

I dig that. I used to be that way. But I went to 'will you actually ever play this game again anonymous'. Best day of my life. Liberating and easier on the money pouch.

I doubt they would make a catalogue and have it last for 1 day. Anyway, I've heard it goes for a good few weeks. Probably over the School Holidays.

For all those wanting Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain etc. I was told that the prices where being updated today and should be in there system tomorrow or Thursday.

They actually put many cheap games on sale like nier and dante's inferno but i check left 4 dead 2 PO and it's $89. I bought few things in another game store last saturday in a bargain price.
I better go back to other game stores to check if it's a same price by tomorrow.
It does looks like if the new catalogue will be coming shortly by those prices i though will coming, maybe the same as online price this morning (i missed out, damn).

I prefer to wait until a game is cheap enough, so I get it at a cheap price, e.g. $30, and I get to keep it as well instead of trading it in.

For me I believe this is better value than spending a $30 difference only to trade it in later, and be without the game in the end.

The downside is that I have to wait until new releases come down in price, which means they're not new releases anymore.

And the current Game sale has been awesome for me! icon_biggrin.gif

For anyone that's interested, I bought Transformers: War for Cybertron on Monday from EB @ The Pines (VIC) and it's showing up in their system for $59. Cheapest price around for the new release. (Figure it's gotta be the same for all EBs??)

Went in to pre-order the day before release. Turns out they had it in stock and selling early, just no character unlock codes which is what I wanted icon_sad.gif

Edit: Ohh..also picked up a 360 Energizer Charging Station for $37 (lowest price around). PS3 ones were same price, not sure about Wii. And el cheapo black 360 batteries for $10ea (half price).

Deus Ex $2.49USD = $2.85 AUD on Steam

I once bought this game on Mac but it'll only run on Mac OS 9. Never did get to finish it.

Will it run on Windoze 7?

Everything on Steam will generally run on Windows 7.

Yeah, its a double edged sword. Its great for bargains, but also makes the value of games drop hugely. It's great for us gamers, cause it lets us buy cheap games and probably more games too, but also makes our collections kinda worthless at this time. It's good and bad really.

I think that GAME's strategy was to
1) put them on the lime light so that even after the sales are over people will still be thankful for for those bargains and will continue to buy from them.
2) Shake the pricing structure for new and preowned games in the market as it seems that once the customers are spoiled with such low prices it would be difficult for them to go back to paying RRP or anything close to it.

Hopefully in the near future we will see an RRP between $78-$88 for newer games.

Not until the distributors lower their prices. New games aren't all that profitable, sometimes selling at a loss (below cost). That's why all the major gaming stores have been backing preowned games in recent years.

They have done it periodically, but i don't think you'll see them lower their price (even if it's only a "first few weeks of release" special) for every title.

the reason for the sales is due to lay offs etc - DSE did the same back in 05.
