SO EB have the Move available for pre order on their site at the moment.
The controller will retail for $69.95, the navigation controller will be $49.95 and the PLaystation Eye (if you don't already own one) will cost $59.95.
The retail value for the Move, to have it set up for 1 player is $179.95 - and it wont even work with most of your games! This is crazy... at least with the Wii you are set up with one full set for motion control and it will work with all of your games...
Kinect is also highly priced with a value of $199 on EBs site, but with that you have the option of playing four players using the one device, so that evens it out dramatically...
To break it down:
To play four players with the wii you will need to invest about $300 as you already have a controller and nunchuck with your console - $420 if you require the motion plus
To play four players with Natal you will need to invest about $200
To play four players with the Move you will need to invest about $500 which is simply outragous!
What are your thoughts on the price of motion controls? _________________

JB HiFi have put down a to be confirmed price of a Move bundle, pricing it at $97.99.
- Move controller(s) (assuming both)
- PSEye Camera
- Game
That's a pretty decent deal to be honest, and I've already got a PSEye. _________________

Nope, that bundle only includes the motion controller, not the navigation controller. So it's another $50 on top of that for the full set.
You can also assume the game will be something similar to Wii Play. Basically a tech demo to show off the controller. _________________

Fair enough, still better than buying everything separately.
Still probably won't buy it straight away, but I'm not unhappy with the prices. _________________

doesnt really bother me, more then 2 people in front of my tv is cramped enough, so about $200 already have 2 cameras anyway, but only games at the moment im interested in are socom and tiger woods (so just need to both the peripherals)
but yeh it is a bit pricey, maybe if i start selling the games i never play it wont cost me a cent. _________________

Price is pretty much the same as the Wii remote and nunchuck so fine by me.
No one is going to buy a PS3 just for the Move games. Not even Sony expects this. _________________ My YouTube game videos!

Its expensive. Its almost a new console or 2-3 new games.
I'll probably give it a miss. I want to try it, but its not something I will use all the time, probably just a few times. _________________

Looks like Kotaku have updated there article, the Sub controler price jumped $20 dollars. Didn't think it was a bad price at first, but thats seem a tad expensive now.
Will have to see what a starter bundle costs and what comes in it before i decide if its worth getting or not. _________________

I will buy this.
the bundle will give me a wiisports like game in HD.
and then I already have RE5 game which will be patched for move.
| Quote: | | Resident Evil 5 will be over 18 months old by the time PlayStation Move arrives, but the game is bound to get a new lease of life in November when Sony's motion controller launches. Owners of Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition will receive the Move update for free over the PlayStation Network as soon as it hits stores, but we got to put it through its paces early at this year's E3. |

^ That's the only thing that appeals to me. The Dead Space 2 bundle with Extraction.
Other then that, move is a no go. _________________ Shin J Leon.

I've not really been following Move, so apologies, but what is in the Move Navigation controller? Is there anything more to it than the Nunchuk? _________________

The navigation controller is the nunchuck, sony just cant use the word nunchuck.
Standard looking enough with a few buttons, triggers and an analog stick. _________________

Yeah, thats what I thought. $50 for that is absolutely ridiculous then, I already feel that $30 is too much for the Nunchuk as it is. Other prices are ok, I think. _________________

The price is probably driven up by the fact it is wireless and ps3 wireless means bluetooth and probably an internal rechargeable battery.
Also, just did the maths for myself. Four player Move will only cost around $300-$350 for 1x starter kit $100 (assuming JB price is RRP) and 3X Move controllers at $70 a pop. Total $310. _________________

I don't get it, if you find it too expensive locally, why don't you just import it.
Playstation peripherals aren't region locked, look at the dual shock 3 controller, most of you probably imported it at a cheaper price anyway. _________________

People always do this to make things sound more expensive then it is but I only have 2 dualshock3s and the extra one came from my new ps3 purchase. Also 1x waggle wii. If your gonna get 4 sets, then really I don't think for that consumer, money is an issue.
At most U'll need 2 controllers and 1 nave controller _________________

Sorry dude, you didnt include the price of the navigation controllers in there - also, a dualshock is a better purchase anyway as it will work with most of your games, the issue with both the move and kinect is that you are paying a large premium to access a very small games library at this point, and you'll need to pay extra to get the games... _________________

I didnt include the price of the navigation control because you cant use it four player. The PS3 can only support up to 7 bluetooth devices at once and sony have already gone on the record to say only that the PS3 will only support a total of 4 move controllers at once, either 4 Move controllers OR 2 Move controllers with 2 navigation controllers. At most, your only going to need 2 navigation controls EVER so a complete move set comes to $410 but if your just purchasing it for some imediate four player action, you only need $310. Also, you can substitute navigation controllers with dualshock controllers if you want to save a bit.

| Sony wrote: | -Up to two motion controllers and two navigation controllers can be connected at once to the PS3â„¢ system.
-Note- DUALSHOCK®3 wireless controller can be used in place of the navigation controller for all games that are compatible with the navigation controller |

Do not want Move, have to move stuff too much to fit it in.
Thats why I loved the 3Ds most of all at E3, no need to add or move anything in my existing setup (which is already an Onkyo amp, 5.1 speakers, desk, 360, wii, ps3, 40' HDTV, wii sensor bar..... 3 wii controller setups, 2 360 controllers, 3 ps3 controllers, 1 ps3 remote, 1 360 remote, 1 tv remote, 1 amp remote....... it never ends.
There is literally no room left for any hardware. A 3DS would fit nice though.
How do MS and Sony expect us to be adding all this crap to our setups? Bring back minimalism. Less is more. _________________

I'm normally quick to jump onto fads but I may wait a while before getting this. However I cannot play Resident Evil games without a motion controller so this will be the only way I play RE5 if I ever do.
I think I'm going to promise myself to wait a year, then see what's on offer. Hopefully either this will come down in price or there will be enough games utilising it to justify a purchase. I want to play Sorcery and RE5 badly though
