Its unconfirmed, but I guess getting in early would be a good business strategy. Natal and Move are going to be pushed hard for the holiday season, and I could see Nintendo launching the 3DS earlier than expect to get it on everybody's mind.
Anywho, I made some 3D images in Brawl. Cross your eyes and enjoy!

I still don't know how to make those things work. Crossing my eyes just gives me 3 identical images, not one that looks 3D. _________________

Focus your eyes on that third image created in the middle. Creates a stereo effect of depth. _________________

Holy Moly! Over 100 babes just walked out onto the stage holding a 3DS each in their hands...it means they're all 3D babes now and that the hardware (and specs) is final!!!

I'm well impressed.
I'll have to see some footage of it in use before I'm sold (any around? Just woke up and haven't had a good look for it yet) but if it's anything like Panasonics 3D stills camera, it's half decent.
I think it looks pretty nice too

Looks awesome and i cant wait to see the 3d for myself however... I'm a bit worried about the home/start/select buttons. They look like the kind of buttons that when they get pushed alot they crack around the edges and fall off but I'm sure nintendo thought this through.
I also want to see the online specs for this, are friend codes finally out? Will there be a virtual console? Will the 3DS better support wireless network secuity standards? Will friend codes be out +2? (seriously nintendo, I dont want to enter a different 16 digit number for every single person for every different game) _________________

Not sure if this was posted anywhere ... possibly in the E3 thread, but here's a list of 3rd party titles that will be available on the 3DS eventually, not necessarily at launch! Martha Stewart! Wow, I've been waiting for that game for a while now ...
Dammit Nintendo! I'm still not too impressed about it, but I don't have much choice in the end ... _________________

I still don't get how the 3D works. And those photos above, all I can see is two photos side by side. Is that supposed to have a 3D effect? _________________

Nintendo just won E3 for me. This is the first time they haven’t disappointed me in years with constant announcement of games that I really don’t care much for with certain exceptions.
I’ve been reading the previews from Joystiq and IGN saying that the screen and 3D effects are excellent. In addition, the new joystick is better than anything else in any current handheld system. They also commented on the visuals. Both joystiq and IGN played Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater and said that it was identical or as good as the PS2. Big call considering Snake eater was one of the best looking games on the system. Joystiq also had a go of Resident Evil Revelations and said that the game is more comparable to Resident Evil 5 than Resident Evil 4 in terms of visuals.
What really has me excited is the guaranteed third party support riding on the success of the DS, ensuring the 3DS will have a great library just like past Nintendo handheld’s. Huge third party support + great visuals = one hell of a handheld.
The games in development also look promising. The ones that made tear in joy were;
- Zelda Ocarina of Time remake
- Star Fox 64 remake (HELL YES!!!!!!)
- Super Street Figher IV
- Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater
- Resident Evil Revelations
- New Ninja Gaiden game (hope it’s like the one’s on consoles)
- Mario Kart 3DS
- Pilotwings (about bloody time Nintendo!!!)
- Kid Icarus
Now I must pray to the Nintendo Gods for F-Zero GX port (game to remain the same, same difficulty etc), new Gradius game, Star Wars Rogue Squadron remake, Metroid game like Prime.
Let’s just hope the Wii syndrome doesn’t plague the system I.E. a ridiculous amount of shovel ware, hardly any AAA quality games, and lazy developers not making the most of the systems hardware.
For the time being though, it’s got me very excited more so than Playstation Move which to me is very unoriginal and virtually the same things as the Wii with motion plus and Kinect (although the Forza demonstration with the car looked awesome).
Kudos Ninty, don’t let me down…again…for the 100th time. _________________

Oh hey, I just posted a comment about this on Kotaku, so here's a copy and paste:
Actually, I’m a little confused.
So these are 3DS launch titles (or eventual 3DS titles), or just upcoming (possibly DS) games that’ll have 3DS compatibility?
Because Etrian Odyssey 3 is already out in Japan on the DS, so I don’t see why they would save the english version for the 3DS considering it’s just a DS game (read: I want EO3 on DS as soon as possible). Similarly for what I assume to be Professor Layton 4. _________________

A couple of the Atlus games are indeed seemingly just DS ports. The Layton title is actually the fifth Professor Layton game which so far hasn't been released in Japan. The english version will seemingly be skipping the DS and going straight to the 3DS.
The rest are actually eventual 3DS titles that are assumedly already in development. Considering MGS and RE are actually playable at E3 I'm assuming they will be launch titles and Kid Icarus will also be a launch title, but beyond that they haven't really said which games will be available at launch. _________________

I can't find any gameplay footage but this video shows 3ds hands on at the Nintendo conference.
Starts around 40 seconds in.

I'm not hating on the system, I'm actually quite looking forward to it, but people seem to think all of these games were playable.. because among the real games were several tech demos. Snake eater for example.
| IGN wrote: | | The demo, like 90 percent of the 3DS software at the show, is not playable…but it is interactive. |
| IGN wrote: | | No game details were revealed for Snake Eater – it was just a non-playable demo. |
from article..
http://au.ds.ign.com/articles/109/1098713p1.html
People should be excited about the game experiences this thing will bring and not by screenshots and non-playable demos. I think ill hold off my excitement until i see some actual games running on the system.

Nintendo have truly won E3 for me. The sheer amount of incredible titles announced along with the Nintendo 3DS have me sold, my main highlights were definitely;
-3DS - What can I say? Looks amazing, seems like it functions incredibly well, and the titles that have been announced for it have me craving for more.
-Golden Sun: Dark Dawn - I've been waiting for this sequel since '04, played #1/#2 to death, definitely excited about this.
-Ocarina of Time remake - If this is true, which I have no doubt it is, consider me in tears.
-Super Street Fighter IV - On the go SSFIV, hell yeah!
-MGS3 - Real curious to see how this will turn out
-Heaps of other awesome titles
Really, well done Nintendo...Awesome job! _________________

Just checked my email, with an EB one badgering on about E3 stuff.
3DS, $348.
Yeeesh, more than a Wii. _________________

I'd ignore that price. Nintendo have made NO mention of a price or anything of the sort.
I think what they've done is taken the incremental increases for each DS version (goes up by $50 incrementally FROM DS->DSi->DSi XL) and slapped the 3DS onto the end of that as an assumption. _________________

What Verv Said, plus I very much doubt it will be that cheap. Remember, this isn't just a new DS, it's a new generation. Everything is updated. I won't be surprised if it retails at $400+. though I wouldn't pay that much for it. Maybe if it's $400 and comes with a couple of games, then I'll go for it. Maybe.

I highly doubt that. A brand new generation Nintendo handheld has never retailed for more than $200 on release. The DSi XL and DSi are the most expensive Nintendo handhelds ever, both having been at $300. _________________
