So you're looking at 2D still images, of a 3D image, on a 2D screen and then calling it crap because you can't focus on it? You're doing it wrong... _________________

That isn't in the list on the press server. Where did you find it? _________________

actually I went to the 3DS announced thread and saw the "mockup stills you made" and thought 3DS has 2 side by side screens and you needed to squint to focus it -- garnering my reaction. So this is kinda your fault.
I did just wake up so I thought that was it. _________________

These five images show what looks a lot like an Ocarina of Time remake for the new Nintendo 3DS.
They're available via a workaround on Nintendo's E3 press site. Curiously, no announcement was made of the game during the company's E3 press conference. Maybe it was being saved for later, like Zelda Wii was last year?
It might be an upcoming game, it might be an unused tech demo, we don't know. As soon as we do, we'll update you. Until then, enjoy the screenshots! |
EDIT: armageddon12's links are already dead. I've reuploaded them. _________________

So Nintendo has taken the rehashing of OoT into new Zelda games into its logical conclusion, that is just rehashing the damn thing.
This is an incredibly solid lineup. Colour me impressed, Nintendo. _________________

Here are some details on the system itself:
The Definitive Guide To The Nintendo 3DS
The NINTENDO 3DS is the Kyoto-base game company's successor to its wildly popular Nintendo DS line. It is Nintendo's fourth general handheld gaming system after the Game Boy, the Game Boy Advance and the Nintendo DS.
Here is what we know:
• The Nintendo 3DS is black and blue
• As promised, this is a glasses-free 3D device
• Two cameras on the outside of the device for 3D picture taking
• 3D depth slider on the side of the device
• Round numb analog stick called the "Slide Pad"
• Bottom screen is a touch panel
• Below the touch screen are Select, Home and Start buttons
• Underneath the A, B, X, Y buttons is the handheld's power button
• Motion sensor and gyroscope
• Compatible with Nintendo DSi
• A camera facing the player above the portable's 3D screen
• The ability to play 3D Hollywood movies, like Legends of the Guardians from Warner Brothers
• The 3DS launch game will be Kid Icarus: Uprising
• It is a powerful system, featuring improved graphics
• The 3DS periodically searchs for WiFi spots and other 3DSs
• Easy online navigation
• No monthly fee for Nintendo's 3DS online access
• Nintendo is developing 3D Nintendogs
• More than twenty companies have signed on to develop for the 3DS
• The top screen is 3.5 inches
• Release date is TBA
• Price is TBA
I'm very impressed, it looks like it will a great piece of Hardware and with the lineup of support already announced, I'm extremely impressed. Well done Nintendo!!!
Also, I assume it will be compatible with the current DS games? Does anyone know? _________________

This isn't a confirmation that it's a Snake Eater remake at all. The title even says "The Naked sample", and it's very well possible that the only reason it has "Snake Eater" in the subtitle is because they're showing off the fight between Boss and Naked Snake from Snake Eater.
Tech demos always tend to have better graphics than early-gen full games (due to having to actually focus on making a story, gameplay system, etc rather than just focus on pushing the system), so chances are that the MGS 3D full game's graphics will be slightly worse. It's still at LEAST PSP quality though, so that's still incredibly impressive.

Nintendo's official E3 website lists the title as "METAL GEAR SOLID SNAKE EATER 3D". _________________

Where are you reading this? I can't find anything on Persona 5 being on 3DS at all.
Either way, I really want this. It seems to have more hardcore games than the Wii.
I can now safely say that-

Says Persona, not Persona 5 but it is likely to be a game in the series. Could be P5 will be on 3DS but I think it is more likely to be on PS2/3. Atlus tend to put spinoffs/remakes on the handhelds (I know about DQIX). _________________

This is a heck of an awesome list... but does it mean I'll have to buy a 3DS if I want to play the next Layton game? Or Persona on DS? If that's the truth, let's hope the system isn't going to cost upwards of $400.
