I can't get the 10 endless achievement. A gun always ends up coming into my lobby and destroys my steak! I've got the ranked one bout 5 times though.
I have about 5 characters at C now. I'm slowly going through them. This is a LONG term achievement considering 'decent' players are really only playing the game now. _________________ Shin J Leon.

I've got 3/35 done... it's gonna be a long-haul for my meager skills and play-time. Luckily I don't give a damn about my PP (just 400-600 usually) |
Yeah I sit on around 1000 PP depending on what character I'm up to. When I was getting my Dhalsim up to C I think it went down to 400
One advantage for having a PP that low is that you get matched up with really bad players who DP all day long. Oh and Vindk8, I know your a demon at Sim, but I just can't get my head around using him. _________________

I was looking for a video of my matches using Dalshim to upload and show you how simplistic and easy it is to use him and win. I had a few great matches but unfortunately never went back and saved them. If you saw how I play with him, you will wonder why you have struggled to use him. You don't even need to play at the level as Vindk8 to rip people. If I get a good match and remember to save it, I will upload it like the way Zero did. _________________

I did actually find some good strategies in the end on how to use Sim, I guess his play style just doesn't sit right with me (or any character who is one of the more "keep away" characters).
I've decided to use the characters I'm uncomfortable with first - so I can relax and enjoy the matches at the end of this journey with the characters I like. Any one have and tips for Hakan, I'm seriously struggling with him. I know his whole game revolves around oiling up but man, poo normals, poo specials, I can't use this guy. _________________

ARGH I just lost 500 points getting E. Hondo up to C grade. Dropped from 2200 down to 1700. I'm not THAT bad with him it's just you play these guys with no points who are not ranked accordingly. I lost 120 points in one game! Drives me bananas. Spent so along with Bison getting that ranking up to a decent level and then DAMN all gone. Why isn't it scaled based on the Battle Points?
It's like going into battle nude with a spoon. You have the general skills but just don't have the weapons.
I hate you Capcom. _________________ Shin J Leon.

I'm not terribly good with him but like to think I've got the basics down
Oil up with LK usually; MK if you're feeling brave; EX when there's a projectile coming your way. Keep this up as often as you can, sacrifice health if necessary.
When oiled up you can move back/forward while FA'ing to keep pressure on.
His normals have huge range, do a lot of damage and are actually better than his specials in most situations.
EX slide will go through projectiles, regular will not. Don't use EX if you're not oiled up, the range if abysmal.
His grabs do not come out quickly, so you're better off leaving keeping them for combos or FA. No instant grabs like Zangief here. _________________

The PS3 patch is apparently live if somebody wants to check it out (for those of us who isn't at work). _________________ Shin J Leon.

So the tournament mode is pretty basic:
- 4 or 8 player slots (although you can start without filling them all)
- 1 match knockout
- 1 match at a time with everyone watching
- no linkage with PP or BP
- winning the tournament provides bragging rights and a picture of a trophy and your name for about 5 seconds
Not a mode I see myself playing often. _________________

Yeah, it *is* kind of useless. The Tournament Mode, that is.
I beat a 4200+ BP Hakan with my Rufus earlier today. I was quite proud of myself. _________________

Super Street Fighter IV coming to Nintendo 3DS!! Bad enough I play SSFIV when ever I'm free at home. Now it'll will be happening in the train, at work during lunch, car trips, waiting at the doctors, on the John. The possibilities are endless! _________________

SSFIV on the 3DS will be quite iffy with the controls...The d-pad is a worry for me, SF works fine for the PSP, but for the 3DS? I'll have to see more of it to be convinced. SFIV or even SSFIV should have been ported to the PSP. Grrr.... _________________

Why should the D-pad be a worry? It looks like the d-pad will be the same as the DS and that D-pad is great. If you're use to d-pads it should be fine. It'll be like Super Street Fighter 2 on SNES all over again! Besides, reports from Joystiq, Kotaku and IGN all say that the joystiq the 3DS has is the best in any handheld system. _________________

Now the 3DS is getting iPhone ports?! =)
If it doesn't have 3D support I'm thinking so at least. Real buttons will greatly improve the experience at least, hopefully they can keep the one button Ultra and Supers =) _________________

Dude no. The DS d-pad S-H-I-T-S on the PSP. The PSP pad (I owned a 3000) is an abomination. The Nintendo while a little small has CORNERS. Yes, CORNERS. I cannot stand the PSP d-pad. It is a horrid piece of crap.
Anyhoo, I certainly won't be buying the 3DS version....or will I. The 3D graphics might be a bit hard to resist but I don't like being inferior ports on portables.
Anyway, I'm in a SSFIV slump. I'm not playing well at all atm (I was playing great last week). So I'm going to take a week off and let the SSFIV juices recharge.
Do you guys get that? Just get into a hole and need to take a break? I get so goddamit angry when I lose..... _________________ Shin J Leon.

Yeah I have slumps a fair bit and they really affect my game. When I lose I tend to have some pretty bad losing streaks but on the converse when I get some mommentum I can win a bit too.
Trying to learn seth atm, he is a pain to play as online but I think he's really helping me with my defense and zoning. Can't take any hits, just had an abel perfect me with 1 fierce punch and 2 tornado throws (one was after I took grey focus damage, ouch!). _________________

Taking a break is good.
Watch some videos of your main youtube and come back with new tactics. It will take you a few hours to a day or two to get your execution back but after that you should be playing better than before.

I wish they would fix the Replay Channel so you could filter character and rank. You do still need to go to the youtube to learn new skills/tactics. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Had a few games against Grim-one last night. Got hammered and not happy about it. Normally I don't play that long either.
@ZeroX03, how did you record your matches so clear? I want to show you guys like one of our replays up here to visually see the skill level of us. I'll add ya when I am in the mood to actually vs you. Now is not the time as I am getting my skill base up. _________________

It's always funny when you meet a friend in random ranked matches!
By hammered you must mean "winning twice for every three games" and "winning a five game streak as Sim". It was fun though, I had a blast. My character knowledge is way, way behind yours. I only really know a handful of characters to some level and just Ryu, Ibuki, Gouken and Honda very well. You seemed to be able to play anyone to a decent level, combos and all.

I think Zero plugged his PS3 into a PC capture card of some sort. Definitely would like to see Sim vs Hakan up on YouTube _________________

Hrm I wonder if I can score a copy of this cheap on PS3 with all the crazy sales. Still need a stick though.
