It was confirmed a while ago but it's nice to read about the details. This is the only 'Hero' game I care about, a day one purchase for me. _________________

I will get this..... I loved the first one in small bursts... to bad "co-op" with guitar was crap for the person playing guitar.... Dueling Decks would be fun... _________________

This both is and isn't a surprise.
Is because the first game bombed hard (unfairly so imo).
Isn't beacause, well... Activision.
Whatever, DJ Hero was some of the most fun I've had with a music game in years so I'm glad to see more is on the way! And yay! Deadmau5! Who the fuck is that?! _________________

Why do they insist on adding Metallica and rock tracks? There's already Guitar Hero for all the rawk stuff I shouldn't have to put up with them in an activity predominantly filled with pop, electronic and urban tracks.
It didn't work in the first one and won't work here again. Leave the guitar stuff to Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Band Hero etc etc Activision and focus on the small core market you have before you lose them. _________________

I really disliked how DJHero1 mixed 2 well known tracks together. Honestly I'd much prefer them have individual tracks where people put a new 'spin' ( ) on them, even thought its often a no-name/not popular artist doing something with a well established/popular artist's song, I'd much prefer it.
Anyway I won't be buying this, but its good for those who did like it. For awhile it seemed that Activision were going to forget the game entirely, which is unfair to those who paid a lot of money to purchase it.

It didn't bomb that badly...made the most revenue of any new IP in 2009.

Couldn't have been deemed a success though. The major price cuts have been telling me a different story. It's like retailers are trying to give the game away at this point.
I'm about as oblivious as they come where music is concerned. I did have a listen to the guy's stuff on youtube though... not really feeling it. I don't doubt the mixes in game will be fantastic though. There wasn't a single track in the first game that I didn't like, apart from the guitar mixes. Those can die in a fire. _________________

I'm surprised to say I'm definitely looking forward to this, the first one really impressed me. The track list is pretty interesting so far, and I'm interested to see what the new modes will bring to the table. _________________
