If you met someone from Haarlem while you were travelling around the World you could call them a "Haarlem Globetrotter".
Yeah, I'm here all week people.

Wouldn't that be if they were traveling? _________________

I decided to go looking for more toadstools and assorted fungi today, so here's what I found when I went for a walk in the bush.
As you can see, there's quite a variety of them out there, and there's a whole heap more of them, but I actually ran out of room on the camera. There were some less than appealing ones, but I decided to take a photo of one of them being attacked by some sort of fungi parasite.
There was this really weird orange lettuce thing that I was going to take a photo of. I found it yesterday and thought I'd come back today. So, when I went back there, all I could find was a whole lot of upturned dirt and animal poop. The trail led me to this.
I took a photo while I could, and I tried to get closer, but I disturbed it. Curse you, wombat! _________________

Exhibit one:
Crumpler Canon EOS bag ; basically special edition 4 million dollar home by Crumpler.
Problem: I have an olympus pen pl-1
Solution:
4 hours later with an unpicker tool and scissors.
Read it as either nEOS. Or as saitsh89 suggested, read it from top to bottom left to right as no EOS.

Fun with my new lens
Not exactly an exciting shot, but it shows off how well this lens works in low light. If I was using one of my kit lenses in a similar situation the shot would either be a blurry mess or too dark to see anything.
How to pretend to be creative. Point camera at lights, set the focus ring to minimum. Yay circles!
It was hard to get these shots in focus, but they turned out alright. I'd like to get more practice taking fire photos. _________________ My Photos

Curse you and your host that doesn't work from work.
I went to Superlap at Eastern Creek on the weekend. I know there's a large number of people here who care more for looking at the colour of their poop than looking at lots of car pics. So here's only a couple pics... and a link to the gallery for more for the few car fans lurking.

Puuuhlleeeease don't quote whole posts full of images. If there's one picture out of a bunch you want to reference, quote just that one, but otherwise just edit it as i have above.

My housemate's cat, Rhyme was playing on a clotheshorse in the lounge room the other day and I took some pictures of her, this could quite possibly be the best picture I have ever taken...

From what I heard from kids who did it for my schoolies (2008), Bali is more than worth it. You'll have a blast. _________________ My Photos

Invini, in that pic where you said it was hard to get the flames in focus a good way to do it would be to focus on the metal (something close to it) Hold down your focus lock and move the camera closer or further so you've moved the focal region.
try it out a few times. Hope that helps _________________ Worst. Signature. Ever.

Invini, use the "Rangefinder" function in your D5000. Its buried somewhere in the menu, but basically, it tells you if you're off focus or not.
It helps a lot, especially with non AF-motor lenses like the F/1.8D.
The downside is that it doesn't really work in low light, so if you're gona be shooting something like flames in the dark, try to get the focus point onto the flames. _________________

Does the D5000 not beep when it's focused (in MF)? Focusing isn't easy with my 50mm on my K-X, but if I set it to a single centre focus point, it'll beep when the camera is focused in that point. Makes it much easier to ensure focus is right when you can't be 100% sure through the viewfinder. _________________
