No. I barely ever use camera rotation in RTS games. Unless of course the map suffers from terrain hiding units really badly (but that shouldn't really be an issue in the SC2 flat map style). If I do use the rotation, I end up getting 'lost' pretty quickly. _________________

First match didn't go well. I'm used to the early rush with Zerglings, so surprise, surprise there's destructible rocks blocking both players bases =P
My opponent spent way more on early economy and way less on early units - thus ground me to dust decisively =(

You can rotate the camera temporarily using Delete (and Insert or PgDown I think?) keys just like in Warcraft III. The camera does snap back once you let go though. _________________

Had my first 5 matches. Decided to main my fave race which would be Toss. Won 3 and lost 2, got put into Silver Division. Feels just like old SC but with a lot more polish and fluidity. The new Toss units are fantastic, void rays taking my interest massively, as they're absolutely devestating in base harrasment.
This is awesome.

Have been messing around with it for a while, and am now jumping up and down that I can play the beta on my MBP too.
Runs surprisingly well on medium-high settings
.
Very happy with that one, was worried I'd have to invest in a new machine prior to Diablo 3 coming out _________________

Played like, near 20 matches now.
Protoss are seriously awesome, love the changes. Downside though? Weak against air and changing tactics if you need to is very expensive.
Still, taking most people down in 1 on 1. Woo for old school tactics prevailing! _________________

Weak? Dude I had a fleet of battlecruisers, a group of around 20 stalkers made short work of them, try stalkers for anti-air

carriers or high templars (spamming psionic storm) rip through pretty much everything too.
finally got a key, so i'll be on whenever it finishes updating. _________________

I definitely use Stalkers against air, because that's...really all the Protoss have. They're solid, I'll give it that, but if the player knows how to micro his way around them and such Stalkers can be pretty much deemed useless many a time. The Phoenix is a nice air unit but I still find it doesn't have the punch needed to take down Banshees and such. Banshees are crazy.
Not saying Protoss suck against them, they're just tactically weak against and with most of their air units unless you surprise your opponent with Void Ray harrasment (tip: Voids beams increase in damage the longer it's on a target; use this by firing at rocks/your own units until it's fully charged, then as you fly to the enemy base, micro-attack each void ray against themselves for a split second then keep moving. Does no damage if you're quick enough but keeps the 4x multiplier on the charge active. I do it often and it's amazing how fast I destroy a good portion of their base), especially because economically, they're very expensive compared to most T and Z units too. Carriers are beautiful if you can get your economy up to speed with them, definitely; and High Templars are nice but easily dodged with some good micro (also Psi Storm radius is so tiny now! I MISS MY MASS ZERG DESTRUCTION IN MASSIVE RADIUS' ).
They're definitely a stronger force on the ground. Immortals will devestate nearly any heavier unit on the ground without issue, Colossi wipe the floor with ANYTHING if used right (especially with the extended range upgrade), and Zealots can be upgraded to do some utterly hilarious damage. But to me this is no surprise, as even in the last game they were much more ground oriented than air, and that's usually how you rip your enemies a new one.
I do miss Goons though. Stalkers are nice but I miss the "I have returned." spawn quote and the familiar firing noise _________________

that was an adjustment for me too. a lot of my early game stuff in sc1 was based around having dragoons, i'm yet to find something to replace them in that role (since grabbing resources til i can afford a mothership and a few carriers is too risky against all the rush tactics- seems to work alright if there's rocks blocking each players base though). _________________

Update: The new patch gave the Phoenix the ability to move while they shoot.
They are f***ing epic anti-air if used correctly. Thank you Blizz for being fantastic <3 _________________

just played a few games, reminded of two things:
1. mothership and carriers combo is awesome, particularly when the other guy fails to build anything that can counter them.
2. i suck at rush tactics (admittedly one was using marines and scvs, so i was kind of asking to lose that time).
also, Maj.untagent. _________________

FF'd mass Phoenix for Toss and FF'd mass Stalkers, Corruptors and Hydras for Zerg, and not too sure on Tez, haven't experimented with em much yet.
Also you should totally not be giving people the chance to mass Cruisers!
Been having great games tonight with sir Crunch (WmMichael). We're number 1 in our division atm in 2v2. I'm getting ridiculously quick with my Protoss tech ups and build orders and Crunch and I are working really well as a team. It's guuuut.
Also I totally need to write up a preview...eventually...just a few more games....

A group of 50 MMM did the trick for me, Marine, Marauders and Medivacs, focus fire = win, Marauders there for moral support in that fight.

Hehehe... Mutalisk rush in the practice league just netted me 2 games. Sadly I don't think that's gonna work once I finish the practice games =\ _________________

^It can if you're fast enough, or in a team match. I can get 2 Void Rays out within 5-6 mins of a starting match while Cruncho gets lings or anything ground related to blast through early forces. It's very strong as generally most people don't expect air so early in unless they rushed you.
Then..ocassionally, you face some random dude named LeiuYwan or something like that and his micro and macro speed is of an Ungodly level and he somehow counters everything you do. I sometimes hate silver league so much >_> _________________

doesn't seem to be anymore nope.
finally finished the placement matches, got bronze league. really need to figure out some better strategies for zerg/terran, did have some interesting ones used against me though (had a protoss player block me in my own base with cannons which i didn't notice until i tried to get the expansion, and a zerg player use two nydus worms to drop guys in my base where i hadnt bothered to put any defences). _________________

Yeah I've only been playing 1v1. So generally there'll be marines, zealots or 'lings knocking on my door well before I can tech to mutas. Or rather there will be once I'm playing on maps without rocks =)
