I'm also the first pre-order at my local GAME store. The second pre-order is like 2009 or something. Mine's from 2007 after announcement

Guy on the phone was amazed at my eagerness for it.

So was there actually any word on what Blizzard has on the cards for the campaign? Are they just going to have everything on the 1 disk, or go with the rumoured split over 3 seperate disks?

The single player campaign will be split into 3 games, one for each race. The first one will be the Terran campaign.

^They'll either be priced like the usual expansion prices that Blizz give ($60 odd), or full priced.

Wings of Liberty will have content equivalent to that of SC1 in terms of SP iirc, while Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void will also do the same (and probably add more new units and such for MP and SP). You get a ****load of SP content from all 3, and if Blizzard hold their word to that, that's a pretty massive amount of value coming out of the series.

And if you know the story and how massive the background is on SC, then yeah you can easily see all 3 of these games being filled with a lot of awesome stuff.

I myself cannot wait to get my hands on the story again. Kerrigan's laid dormant, Zeratul's vanished and Raynor's been hidden for way, wayyyyy too long.

^Blizz have commented on that, and have estimated about 18 months max between the games.

thats a fail I think. It needed to be 1 year maximum. I bet that 18 months becomes 2 years.

But, at least more starcraft is good starcraft. I just want to play as Protoss...

Where is HL2 Episode 3 anyway?

I'm betting the Starcraft II Protoss and Zerg games are more likely to be full sized stand-alone titles, just like the Terran game. Of course after they're all done you'll get the obligatory Battle Chest.

im new to starcraft so before i preordwe i was curious has blizz stopped the refer a freind to beta thingy? or is preorder my only chance to try starcraft?

p.s im asking as starcraft seems way hardcore for a casual rts player

Starcraft 2 is having region based servers, and you can't change what one you are in. And we get stuck with players from Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. That sucks. I'd rather it just be like it is in Warcraft 3, or be on US servers.

Seems weird we would be grouped with some countries that don't all speak English.

They said it might change. It will suck having to play with people who don't speak English, and maybe even most of the custom maps in a different language.

Won my first game

I went random, the other guy was terran. I ended up being terran too.

I harrassed him with reapers, he got pissed off and sent everything he'd built so far to attack me, i had marauders and something else in my base that made swift work out of everything he sent, then i just teched up to battlecruisers and served him a dish of ****
