What drought? I've still got plenty to keep me occupied until the likes of Super SFIV and Alan Wake get released.

Let me explain it to you.
| Myself wrote: | | This week in the land of gaming bargains, we have been struck with a terrible drought |
There are only 2 new catalogues and nothing good.

So you will have to choose from the older catalogues still running and games you previously bought.
So what you're doing is exactly what I was talking about, and was basically my point. _________________

Is it just me or are these lists severely lacking in the PC department these days?

It's not just you. In retail stores the PC is very much taking the backstep, and so the amount of bargains for it are dropping. _________________

Sometimes I would love to be a PC gamer (yeah, I'm working on it) but other times I can't help but feel bad for the PC's gaming scene. Very rarely do you see an entire page dedicated to PC games in a Target or Big W catalogue (just to pick a duo of retailers). I often find it strange when a catalogue included more PS3 or 360 content over the competing console (and the Wii always has a page or two of stuff) whereas the PC will get nothing.
I'm still surprised at how stubborn certain titles are. I've been pining for Super Smash Bros. Brawl since I got my Wii, late last year. Yet the cheapest I've seen it for is $59. Strangely enough, today I saw it for $59 in one JB Hi-Fi but in another JB Hi-Fi I saw a pre-owned copy of it for $59 too. Can't even get price parity in the same retailer. _________________ Putting the pro back in alien probing techniques.

Yeah but on Steam this weekend Left 4 Dead 2 is $20.09. Don't feel too bad for PC gamers

Well, that's the thing. It only really applies to the catalogues and the general public view of PC gaming ("What? PC can run games other than FarmVille?!") compared to console gaming. Platforms like Steam are a real godsend for the PC scene because they don't rely on public demand, unlike retailers (though I guess that's why there are catalogues like these in the first place). _________________ Putting the pro back in alien probing techniques.

Oh ok, no worries, I guess I misunderstood what you were saying. I wouldn't mind a proper drought (ie. 1-2 months without anything decent) so I can catch up on my backlog. :-p
Dammit - Too many good games getting released these days!
