Finally found an introduction thread/area!
I only heard about the site today from a friend so I figured I'd sign up and check it out.
I generally like most games or consoles, though I've probably been more of a Nintendo fan than anything else (With some favourite sony games)
Unfortunately I haven't been able to get any of the current generation consoles since well financially it hasn't been all that viable so far.
So I guess I play more PC games than anything else at the moment mainly due to them being more convenient.

Okay, so here goes! Let me know if there are too many images and I'll cut them.
So I'm nominally a postgrad research student in computer science but that mostly consists of avoiding my supervisor so he doesn't realise I actually spend my weekdays running around buying games (playing? I don't have time to play!). I think he's starting to catch on, which is probably a Bad Thing. I spend my weekends making my bf drive me around to game stores that aren't easy to get to by public transport from my place.
I have an annoying habit of buying games for consoles I don't actually own (my justification is that I want to play the game eventually, so I may as well buy it now). My parents are ridiculously anti-gaming so I was 15 before I got my first console of any kind (my friend's spare GBA SP). I bought a DS Lite when I was 17 and finally earning, but my parents are the "over my dead body will you buy a (non-handheld) console" so my friends pooled together and bought me a Wii for my 19th birthday. I don't actually use it for anything apart from Guitar Hero/Rock Band though, because I'm an addict. I bought a PSP a week ago and suddenly my list of games-I-want-to-buy-even-though-I'll-never-have-time-to-play-them-all has exploded.
My games are literally the only neat thing in my room:
