I'd consider writing for PALGN again now that my studies would compliment it, but in all honesty, I don't think I can devote the time. It's a shame, I had a lot of fun writing for you guys a few years back.

I agree with this, there are plenty of member's here who post alot of info/news fast. 9 times out of 10 news is posted on forums fast and then 1 or 2 days later you will see it being posted on the site, its just to slow. I know you have lives, work and don't get paid for this, but still its old news by the time the site post's anything and you are left with 2 threads covering the same thing.
I reckon check out some members who post info/news daily, who may have the time to do this and not just pick someone who is really popular on here. Just saying.

I'd give the most unbiased critique on games you ever seen, but it seems atm your reviewers actually scan the top 5 of reviewers and give a similar ilk in its review.
eg: your gow tripe.
Game is good for the first 50 mins, then you can see where they actually resorted to their old game school of philosophy, fuck the devs.

LOL! what are you getting at there then?
It is obvious the creators concocted this super epic beginning for the people to actually go "OMFG!" over then after that is done for the next 4 hours base their reality in the GOW universe of moving columjns, simplistic kill a creature to wipe others etc etc.
If anything GOW needed a brand new take on what it is.
I'd actually love to see him unshackled from his chain blades, maybe get some grapples moves etc.
It is basically the same gameplay with flashy graphics, which dont get me wrong look absolutely gobsmacking the first 50 mins.

Yeah... if you had made these posts sober, I might've considered taking you seriously. Or had actually completed the game...
But that's beside the point. All serious applications will be considered. We're a little low on staff at the moment, so any keen should definitely give it a crack.

Hey don't get me wrong, I love this site.
It is the best site that isn't filled with crap.
Other sites have a plethora or comments of either crap infused with every now and then inciteful information.
PALGN is on the ball, even if now and then it is a bit late but they deliver.

It only seems like a few weeks ago I was writing for PALGN... Wait a second...
Seriously though, best of luck to the applicants. I certainly gained a lot through writing for PALGN for a few years. Notably I made friendships, was introduced to the Dynasty Warriors series and Naruto. I certainly look back with lots of fond memories, and a few lackluster games I was sent to review like Bratz Ponyz...

Look, PALGN is a really good place to write for, and I encourage anyone who's interested and knows how to write decently to go for it. It's given me a LOT of experience and a lot of contacts through the industry which is now helping me quite a bit with a lot of the things I'm pursuing.

With all due respect, when the editors go through applications, they pick people who can actually write, not people who are 'popular'. I take slight offence to that comment as you insinuate the (very hard working) admins just pick any random off the street who people like.
Keeping the writing up and keeping it consistent isn't an easy job, especially when you also have deadlines with a lot of things, including things in your life.
