I was planning on ordering Resonance of Fate off of play asia. this is my first time ordering, and i'm not sure which shipping option i should use. i don't mind waiting a week or so for the game, but i don't want to wait a month or worse, not get the game at all.
my question is, for those of you who order off of play asia, is which shipping option do you use and how reliable is it?

The most reliable is courier. UPS will usually set you back around $15 or so depending on the weight. I usually just go air economy in a box and it gets here fine within 2 weeks.

I use non-courier (Economy or EMS) generally as items will be sent to my local post office since no one is at home to collect the parcel. _________________ 「貧乳はステータスだ!希少価値だ!」 - 泉 こなた

I too have always used the cheapest and the parcel has always arrived in perfect condition. It really just depends on how fast you want it. The last few orders I've placed with them has turned me off using the site. (took ages to ship and almost three times longer than normal to arrive)

just go cheapest - get a coupon for $5 - there's a thread here on PALGN.... and you'll save on the shipping which is usually $3.90

I'm just curious ... I ordered Strange Journey from Play-Asia, but chose one of the fastest shipping options available ... I think one person has said that they've already got their copy from Play-Asia ... I think they said Play-Asia ... but anyway, my payment has been received, but nothing seems to have been done after that. So, I'm not sure why some people have it and others don't. I paid for it in advance, too, not just like two days ago or anything like that.
But yes, I'd go for the box postage personally, but the cheapest option is just as good for DS or PSP games. If you can hold on for that little bit longer, your game is still going to arrive just as safe. _________________

I'm a "want it now" sort of person, so I pay through the nose for shipping, but usually make sure I get enough items to make it worthwhile.

I find that Play Asia rarely, if ever, get the game on the release date (or week sometimes). I was in the same situation a few months ago, one or two people were saying they had preordered a game and Play -Asia had sent it out prior to the release date, but they didn't send mine until about two weeks after it had been released elsewhere.
Recently PA also seems to be stocking less copies of DS games on hand so they run out faster.
Anyway I use UPS, i've never had problems with them and they only take two days from when it ships (to get to sydney).
I still love the site but they are not that good for shipping on release.

Have they sent it off for you today, Kyle? My copy is on back-order even though I paid for it over 2 weeks ago...

Hmm, no, nothing has been sent.
So, regardless of what shipping you choose, you're not guaranteed to get a copy within a few days of the game being released. I know that might sound obvious, but that's quite annoying ... considering you've been hanging for a game, but also the fact that you've essentially paid for shipping that may or may not take the exact same time to arrive at your house regardless of which one you've chosen. _________________

I always choose the economy option because I can wait.
Buying ps3 and 360 games quickest was 5 working days, longest was around 3 weeks (14-15 working days). Lately its been quicker than usual

When I order from Play-Asia I always go with cheap boxed postage. I figure for a few extra dollars my games have more chance of getting to me undamaged. The packing seems a lot better then the cheapest option also. _________________
