Final Fantasy Mystic Quest isn't well known among gamers, but it was an interesting RPG adventure that was similar to The Legend of Zelda. The battle theme of this rare game is energetic and catchy

Mystic a final fantasy i can safely say its not apart from being made by square the game has no final fantasy name on it & i know i own two of it one in a box the other just a cartridge.

P.S. unless its called final fantasy mystic quest legends in japan but not over here.

Correct. It's called Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest everywhere else (US, Japan) but not in PAL regions.

The video for Eyes on Me is the wrong the song guys

besides that though, nice article! Reminds how much better the soundtrack are before FF11 onwards.

The only song there that I hate is the FF9 battle music. I just can't stand that 'dah dah dah dah dah dah dah' beat that is constantly there. The rest of the songs are amazing though!

Special mention to FF7's 'Farm Boy' and FFX's 'To Zanarkand'

Great article, though with such incredible material it's hard to make a bad article. For me, the most important song that's missing is the Chocobo theme! Gasp! How was this forgotten!?

Not too bad job there especially for not copping out and going with all the famous tunes that everyone knows like one-winged angel, to zanarkand or the opera song from ff6 (I'm not saying that they are bad songs.)

Though apart from mystic quest and 6 all the songs are from the playstation generation. I'm also surprised you didn't include the FF main theme.

Also I didn't realise until this sound test that quite a few songs in FF games (mainly the characters theme songs) are actually instruments of the vocal words.

FFXIII is my favourite soundtrack since IX, I think Hamauzu did a fantastic job and hopefully he still works with Square even though he isn't employed over there any more.

That doesn't surprise me, especially after what he brought to Unlimited Saga, I mean the best thing about that game was the music that he did
