Either 25 is deemed old now or school formals have seriously lowered their standards.
My formal had free red & white house wine for all students, so needless to say copious amounts were consumed by the end of the function and further alcohol was consumed as soon as we were off the premises (which actually followed what must have seemed like a massive stripping in the car parks as those of us in tuxedos decided to don more comfy clothes)
So yes, well, given that it's a prissy event that changes things dramatically. take the looker, you'll need something to stem the boredom of the night so might as well get something worthy in before you get a ball and chain.
Because it's all downhill from that point onward... or uphill depending on viewpoint.

buy some Nair waxing strips, and when he's sufficiently drunk, stick them to his legs randomly.
trust me, it's hilarious to know the groom has random bald patches on his legs, and because he's wearing long pants, it won't mess up the ceremony too much... a little limping, maybe, but the photos etc will be fine.

just don't rip 1 off before sticking on others - get at least a couple per leg on first.
