I guess I can wait for the 25th release date. I'm thinking because it is so close to FF13 I'll pick up WKC on launch but I'll hold out playing it until FF or I'll power through it. Either way, I don't want two clashing RPGs lol. |
Its a Golden rule, Later you buy cheaper you will get.If you gonna hold on to it rather buy it when you are ready to play, well i am doing the same.

I initially thought the same thing, but non-mainstream JRPG's get harder to find the later you leave it. _________________

Exaclty my thought too, either that or they remain expensive....Look at Tales of Vesperia and Muramasa.
I will be getting this on launch, as it will probably be cheaper at BigW etc for the first week too. _________________

im not srue , dont feel like playing it for a wili - at first i had zero intrest but my love for exclusive level 5 games and the fact that a DC cast member makes a cameo has my interest - im on the fence about wheater to preorder it with any bonus stuff or import at a later date.

I always think that, but when I buy the game it sits on the my shelf for months.
It's region free, so it will probably always be available. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Yuh, but with the online, wouldn't it be better getting the AU PAL version? _________________

Only if there is DLC. If not, then the US version is fine.

Probably, considering you get weapon/armor pick ups and build towns. They will have DLC for that stuff most likely. That or more quests. _________________

Gamespot's review is up.
The only gave it 6/10.
But complained that it is too easy? _________________

Lol! Gamespot...
Still looking forward to this more then FFXIII. I mean at least WKC has cities...
Its pretty interesting that these websites are giving it pretty low scores, but reviews from the wider gaming community seem to be much more positive.

I'll think I will give this game a miss. I had high hopes for this (as Level 5 have made some quality RPG's in the past), but I don't want to spend $90-$100 on a RPG and waste many hours on an average/meh experience, when I have a huge backlog of RPG's waiting to be played already.
I just hope FF13 doesn't dissapoint. _________________

well, you can always try it from EB or rent it? On FFXIII, I've been playing the jap version, like everything it's all subjective and for me I am enjoying it. _________________

Yeah, but this is probably there lowest score on a JRPG this gen. God, they even rated Infinite Undiscovery, Last Remnant and (the god aweful) Star Ocean higher and they are rated as the worst JRPG's this gen.
I don't get how a company can produce quality games, then suddenly produce crap....WHY!!!!!! and alot of it has been with JRPG's this gen.
I'm worried about FF13 TBH. _________________

I imagine a moderately thorough player will take approximately 30 hours to get through the main story. There's plenty more to do in the additional quests, especially with friends. |
I love this sort of reviews. The text does not matchthe score. I don't know, but 30 hours + heaps of extras is sort of a 8-9 for me. What's the point of having this Lasting Appeal section?! _________________ Shin J Leon.

Bah, forget the reviews and buy what you thinks looks good, I say. Games that get good reviews can still suck (Darksiders is my most recent example). I plan to pick up WKC no matter what any site says. Seriously Andy, don't get put off so easily. _________________

Why are you worried about FFXIII? The game is the benchmark in production values for JRPGs. Guranteed to have stunning visuals, excellent soundtrack, FMV and a rock solid battle system.
FF games are like Pizza. Even when it's bad it's good.
Read this for any doubts -> http://www.destructoid.com/ten-things-i-loved-about-final-fantasy-xiii-162457.phtml
And don't read IGN's review. I'm going to bet they score it 8.5/10. _________________ Shin J Leon.

People take these reviews way too seriously, given that videogames are highly highly subjective. I would play this game 100 times over before playing most of the games IGN has given 8s and 9s, even knowing the score it recieved. _________________

I guess you guy's are right about reviews. I mean Darksiders scored high, it sucked for me, as did FF12 and alot of other high scoring games this gen.
The strange thing is though, I love what I'm seeing of this game. I love the character creation, how you can turn into a Knight, build your own town, quest online etc and despite the poor reviews all those things are still in the game and still look good to me.
The other thing is, I don't have huge knowledge of JRPG's like you guys, so reviews on RPG's do help alot upon deciding on a game.
I know that reviews are subjective and its personal opinion, but if this game is getting alot of lower scores, surely something must be wrong with it. _________________
