EDIT: Just so you all know, the 360 demo is up on the marketplace, 1.37Gb, so pretty small, been playing a game for about 15 minutes now, do want PC beta for better graphics and controls though

I pre purchased on the 28th (its 4 min past 12 brisbane time atm), I think im going to catch some sleep then wake up at ~ 9, dl the beta and go from there.

You got me on steam anyway, as does a few of the other guys so yeah, a palgn tdm would be pretty awesome.

Just finished and attacking and defending round on 360 demo, good fun, the low resolution is annoying when you're used to MW2 at 2560x1600, and struggle to see pixellated heads over distance

So I just played the beta, had pb install issues from the word GO, but got past it by just exiting it, started the game and got chucked onto a US sever. Luckily EA's server didnt have PB enabled.

At this current stage, this being my first battlefield game I've played properly online I dont think this will kill cod anytime soon.. and is it me or is movement REALLY restricted in this game? I think I need to remap the keys..

Just feels like any other battlefield to me just somewhat more face paced, more shiny and hit boxes are no longer weird.

Its fun yes, but I'm getting somewhat pissed that I keep getting chucked into a US server, the damn server browser keeps crashing. The annoying flipside of this is that there are US players complaining that they are getting chucked into UK and AUS servers haha. -_- /facepalm.

Still this could turn out to be quite a fun game, yet you shouldn't really compare MW2 and BFBC2 in reality, they are quite different since one is more open, large maps with vehicle combat, whilse MW2 is fast paced moreso around small maps.

I would still play both depending what I feel like. But hey, in the end this ain't no BF3 - I'm still looking foward to 80 player server games and large sprawling maps.

Best thing about this so far:

Piloting the UAV and disregarding the laser guided missile and just going for kills by running the enemies over.

I'm loving the medic class at the moment. Nothing like seeing a squad mate being gunned down, then you running in, jumping over a pipe, unloading your lmg into the enemy then defibbing your squad mate. Good times good times. Takes forever to level up though..

I've been getting into assault class mostly now. Since most of the people I get put into a squad these days are with snipers and medics, I either hang back resupplying snipers, thereby not only helping support the team and rack up easy points, or am in the front lines with engies and medics, supplying them and spamming 40mm grenades

After ages of waiting, the Xbox 360 demo of Battlefield Bad Company 2 finally finished downloading and I instantly loaded up the demo. During the start up of the demo where the EA, DICE and Frostbite logos were being displayed, I couldn't help but realize that there was no music or sound effects.

As for the demo, I played it till 4AM in the morning. It has that great Battlefield feel and gameplay perfected. I'm not worried about the visuals since this will be occurring:

The more I play BC2 the more I love it, I actually prefer the hardcore servers over normal, since you dont have to waste a whole clip to get someone. Plus blowing up a wall with someone behind it results as you would expect - THEM ACTUALLY DYING.

In normal servers when I did that, or it happened to me, I only took a small bit of damage.

But for a proper BF experince you should always try to get/play on PC, not consoles, if the PC is up to the recommended system requirment.

It's good to see DICE is not making a straight console port in this case, like IW. Also the DRM (Securom) is actually a very good implementation this time around, giving you choices and non-intrusive.

Just heard the game already got an early yet-to-be-published review from Game Informer (9.5 out of 10) and it will be on the back of the box when the game come out.

Not sure this is true or not, at first when I saw the news I thought Dice is integrating the BF1943 into BC2. I really cannot think of any connection between WW2 and Modern War settings as part of the single player campaign.

Played the demo last night. I didn't like the mode (more of a classic conquest guy) but I did play till 4am so I suppose it is a good game. Still want an actually BF3 though

The final release will have the classic conquest mode for sure.

And according to Game Informer's first review (95%), they are saying it "delivers its best multiplayer package since Battlefield 2 and a remarkably improved single-player campaign."
