I think you need the 64 bit version to use more than 3 gigs.

^Sam's on it. 32-bit OS supports a maximum of 3.25 GB RAM. In order to use anything more than that, you require a 64-bit OS. _________________

Yer, it is but if you bought Windows 7 (not bundled with a computer) it should have both 32bit and 64bit versions on the disc. But I'm not sure if you have to enter a different key or if its an option. _________________

^ actually, on some laptops and desktops when doing a recovery you WILL have the option of going 32/64 bit. _________________

Not quite limit of 3.25GB, but rather an addressable amount of 4GB total for all types of memory, so Video Memory etc. comes out of the total first.
With regards to the key, you should be able to use a 32bit / 64bit key interchangeably for Windows 7 (just as Vista).

Windows 7 has a combine features of the Windows XP and Windows Vista. In this you can use the 2 GB RAM according to your motherboard supported.
This is related to the Ghz of the main board chip. I am using the Microsoft Windows 7 ultimate edition with 2 GB RAM.
My configuration is
Intel G945 2.4Ghz.
250GB HDD.
2GB RAM. _________________ acekard 2

You can check your current graphics setting if you have to set 64bit then you can install 6g. If you have set 32g then it is no required to install 6g so you can easily work with 3g and then if your problem not solve then you can repair your operarting system with windows 7 bootable disk. _________________ r4 sdhc

It has nothing to do with graphics. Or repairing Windows. _________________

If you google anything computer related, 9 times out of 10 you will be able to find the cause or more information within seconds. _________________ XBL - myzz
