Yep, picked myself a copy of Bayonetta today at Big W by coincidence. It was a good thing I visited Big W before returning to JB Hifi today, although the Climax Edition was a tad enticing.

Was it the sale price? The catalog starts this saturday but if you can get it now, I might as well pick it up tomorrow night before work. icon_confused.gif

Wet has been reduced to an enticing price of $58 at Big W

After the Zero Punctuation review of this game, I doubt there will be many takers. Bayonetta and Darksiders interest me, but as I'll be moving to the States shortly I'll wait to get a console there so that I've got the right format (NTSC).

Sometimes he does have some valid points though.

nothing I want. Darksiders I'll pick up tomorrow at jbhifi

although my x365 games just arrived today in the mail - so I'll have mirrors edge/blood in the sand 50 cents + fuel to play so I might not buy it. I did buy duplicate copies for trades but we'll see if the games are tradable.

When price matching does anyone take advantage of the extra 10% from Kmart or BigW?

Most of the games have a 3 - 4 month window (in terms of how long ago their release was). They used to be better last year, where quite a few titles were 6+ months old.

There's a few good deals in there though. I mean if you get Section 8 for $30 at EB or Fallout 3 GOTY for $53 at BigW, you can get the game for around $70 -$80, which is still good.

Does BigW give 10% of the difference, because I've never seen it stated anywhere. Kmart used to give 10% of the difference but now only price matches, but with luck you could find someone who give the 10% of the difference - when I was buying assassin's creed they were selling it for $110 and I was price matching for $25 and 10% of the difference was going to make it about $16, so they guy serving me ringed his manager who tolded him they stopped that policy.

Ahh yeah, you can get some good deals through it... i remember hearing of people rotating the games up for trade as they were coming out: eg trade one game in paid $29/39.95 for it, then when they next game came out they'd trade in the game that they originally executed the trade in for.... and so on and so forth.

As long as the game that they last traded in was still on the eligible titles list, it was still good.
