For ages, I have been trying to figure out how to get some of the awesome stuff thats exclusive to the US PSN store. Well anyway, US Playstation Network cards (havent tried the Japanese store yet) do indeed work, and the PSOne Classics on the US Store DO work on Australian PS3s, provided you aint running them in SDTV. Bought Blood Omen 1, Suikoden and Wild Arms 2 last night and all work like a dream.
Ebay is the most obvious choice when it comes to PS $$ Cards, but some of them refuse to send them outside of the US, and some of them dont send the codes via a private message, instead choosing the method of physically posting them out which take weeks.
Amazon do post to Australia but they WONT send codes electronically, and theyre prices arent that flash.
I did however find a website that not only accepts payments from australia, they also PM codes electronically, and allow you to pay through paypal.
www.maximuscards.com
I can vouch that these guys are fantastic, and have US cards in $10, $20 and $50 amounts. I bought two $10 codes through my paypal account and they sent them instantly. Only reason Im posting this is I wish I had this info yesterday when I bought a Paypal VCC that didnt even work.

you can link your bank account to the paypal account and then just upload the money directly from your bank to paypal. Only problem with this is that it takes a few days _________________

mmm... interesting. looking at maximus card now. I've been a lot annoyed that my PSN usa/entropay thing went wonksy. This might be a revival of usage. _________________

If you have a VISA or Mastercard Debit card (I'm sure most of you lot over 18 do), you can just pay instantly with that (just comes out of your bank account anyway so your never in debt). Even via paypal, using a Mastercard debit card transfers funds instantly when your using paypal as a means of payment. Only thing that irks me is that you have to manually change your payment source from bank account to mastercard debit card each time you purchase something via paypal, as paypal defaults payment source to your bank account every time (even if you set the Mastercard as your primary fund source).

I get my live subscriptions from them. It saves me around $40 depending on our dollar at the time. I also bought credit on my US account for the Dragon Age Wardens Keep dlc...It works out cheaper, even with their tax, than our market place. _________________
