Forgive me as I know I've already posted this in the Pokemon thread, but I thought it might be a good idea to make a new topic for it. Whether it works or not, I don't know.

or Melee! Pokemon Scramble in English.

This quote was taken from bulbagarden.net.

Quote:
It is a new WiiWare game that will be available for download for 1500 points. It will be available to players of the Japanese Wii starting June 16.

The game is controlled with either the Wii Remote on its side or the the Nunchuck. In this game, Pokémon will be like wind-up toys and they will appear as they did in Everyone's Pokémon Ranch. Players can control their Pokémon through various features. These include a Battle Royal where players control their Pokémon in a massive pit where lots of other Pokémon appear. The last one that remains standing will be the winner. Players control both the Pokémon's movement and what move they use.

It also has a story mode where there are levels which end with a battle wherein a giant Pokémon is a boss. They boss may be a legendary Pokémon. Other Pokémon are obtained through defeating them in this mode. Similar to the games Everyone's Pokémon Ranch and Great Fray Smash Brothers X, players can also take screenshots of their Pokémon in the battles

The game will feature a two-player co-op move, as well as a stadium mode where up to four players can battle. Other players of this game can also bring their Pokémon from their game on the Wii Remote, similar to Miis. Passwords can be used as well to obtain rarer Pokémon. These will be released via the official site. Players have various grades of Pokémon they can use. As the players progress in through the game, they get more grades with Legendaries being traded as they release other Pokémon that they currently have.

From what I've read on Serebii, it actually says:

Quote:
The game is a real time action game where you control Pokemon toys that you start with and collect after defeating and train them for a massive battle royale.

To get to the battle royale, you have to train your Pokemon in the outside world, going through various levels battling wild Pokemon. When defeated, you can pick up a currency used to enhance the Pokemon you use. At the end of the levels, you have to fight a giant boss Pokemon.

Once your Pokemon is at a certain level, you can send them to the battle royale. This is a Free For All battle that also uses wifi for up to four players.

It just sounds a whole lot more interesting to me. A nifty little game to say the least.

Here's a video. I haven't watched it myself yet, so I'm not sure what it shows.

I know Jessara and I have spoken about a Smash Bros-styled Pokemon game in the past, about how fun it could potentially be, and so it seems kind of funny that it has actually been announced. It still seems to maintain a unique look about it though and not just a cheap knock off, so that's a good thing. I hope it has a little bit of depth at the end of the day, but it's hard to tell. Will all the Pokemon basically act the same way, but just have different looks?

wow. actually looks sorta good.
and yes pokemon brawl would be good.

on that topic. a heaps cool brawl game is to play with items on high, and all the items off except pokeballs and final smash ball.

that is one epic, and fun, game.

man so much better with select items.

anyone else think Garchomp and garbite look really crap tho?

I've always wanted a game like Pokemon Stadium but in real time, is this like that? It sorta sounds like it.

^ looks alot simpler though, mainly less button's, so I'm guessing less choice on attacks?

That's what I was thinking. It's probably quite simple, but it still does have an addictive look to it. I guess they could have made it even simpler than that if they had wished. I guess it would be a fun little diversion more than anything.

Here's some screenshots courtesy of IGN.com.

The game has been released in Japan so more details are starting to float around about the game. Below info quoted from Serebii.net and may contain spoilers:

NOTE: Highlight to read....

Quote:
When you begin the game, you start with a relatively weak Pokémon. As such, you need to go through the wild levels. When you go through, you will be attacked by many Pokémon. Using the two buttons (1 & 2 or B & A if using the nunchuck), you can release attacks upon the Pokémon. The Pokémon will then drop currency or other items which you can then use at the terminal in exchange for various things. Like the other modes, this mode can eventually be done in multiplayer. While playing this mode, you also have the ability to take photos at any time.

Collecting Pokémon
Sometimes, when you defeat a Pokémon, their toy will remain on the ground. If you go and walk into them, you will collect their toy and that Pokémon shall then be added into your arsenal. This is the only way you can collect Pokémon to use. These Pokémon can also be later exchanged for even stronger Pokémon at the terminal

Boss Pokémon
When you reach the end of the level, you will face a special Boss Pokémon. These Pokémon are much larger than the other Pokémon you have fought and have a variety of powerful attacks. In order to finish the level, you will have to defeat the Pokémon.

There are six levels in this game, with 8 different ranks a piece.
* Quiet Forest
* Cold Meadow
* Gravel Cave
* Fiery Furnace
* Shiny Beach
* Tower of Eternity

No one has really mentioned anything about this game since it hit the Wiiware for Aus consoles. The game has been renamed Pokemon Rumble. I don't know when this started with Wiiware but there is a Pokemon Rumble demo available in the Wii shop for those who are interested in trying it out. I gave the demo a shot and I liked it so I'm now about to purchase the full version for 1500 Wii Points.

There's supposedly a screenshot feature so if I can figure that out, I'll get some pics on here later icon_smile.gif

EDIT: Okay here are some pics that I thought I would share with you all.
