This is pretty much where the PSP Go is region locked. Unfortunately it doesn't work like the PS3 PSN system where you can simply change the user download it from the US and then log back into your AU account and start using the programs.

If you want to download from the US you need to create or have an exsisting US PSN account. Then you can download anything from the US (the payment system still have the same problems as the PS3 PSN - by that you either need to purchase US PSN prepaid card or have a valid US credit card).

It goes for any region, you create an Australian account you'll get taken straight to the Australian PSN store. The PSP Go account system is a little different too, if you download from the US PSN with your US account and then delete your US account (you have to deleted the account and re-enter all your details again if you want to switch - the PSP Go doesn't allow you to have multiple accounts at the same time) and switch back to your AUS account you can't play anything your downloaded with your US account (basically it's locked to which ever PSN account you used to download with).

right, so as long as i only use a US account all will be fine?
and yeah ive looked into getting prepaid cards or the prepaid credit cards,
also found a site that lets you create a virtual credit card.
ive already made a US PSN account because i wanted to see what the games were and how much etc.

thanks for the info icon_smile.gif

just to clarifie,
when you say "if you download from the US PSN with your US account and then delete your US account (you have to deleted the account and re-enter all your details again if you want to switch - the PSP Go doesn't allow you to have multiple accounts at the same time)"
i can access this account again cant i? i mean, all my games wont be deleted?
(i do understand that i can only have one account on the psp at any one time)

Basically with the multiple accounts, anything you download is locked to that account, so if you decide for whatever reason change accounts (regardless of region) any games you download won't work (it's basically a form of DRM). your games won't be deleted it'll just sit there till you login with the account you used to download them with.

You can have the same account on multiple PSPs if you want, but for online you can only login one at a time. I have the same account installed on both my PSP2000, PSP3000 and PSP Go but I only ever login one at a time when I go online.

Technically as long as you don't go online at the same time with 2 PSPs you can download the same game onto the same PSP Go and not have to pay for it twice.
