They really use 5 oranges in one drink? I used to make my own juice when I lived with my parents and they had a juicilator. I'd have to put 2 oranges and an apple in to get a glass of juice, I know boost cups are bigger than the ones I'd use and they put other stuff like ice and sorbet in too don't they? _________________

I don't know how many they use, I just made up a number. I do know that it's more than you'd normally eat though. _________________

I doubt that they'd put more fruit in a drink than I would usually eat in a day, I eat fuck tonnes of fruit. At school they called me the greengrocer because all I ever took to school in my lunch box was fruit and veg. _________________

When you eat whole fruit and veg you're getting all the good stuff that goes with it. When you just consume the juice you're losing all the fiber and other good 'bits', just keeping the sugar, water and a bit of flavour. You can actually eat too much fruit, but you're better having too much whole fruit than too much in the form of juice. _________________

5 serve of vegies and 2 serve of fruits a day according to an ad that I follow.
I have to watch out for fruit since I'm unlikely for having family history of diabetes.
Ever get juice freshly squeezed? It will definitely require more than normal servings in a day just for a glass of juice (and most of the time the important bits of the fruits are filtered out anyway). And then not only that, you have around 3 different kinds of fruits or more? (sorry, I don't drink BOOST) _________________ "Work hard now, play even harder later"

Well, it's been a while since I've last updated.
Still hovering around ~86-88KG at the moment, although have started swimming the past few weeks and slowly increasing in distance (will be aiming for 600m tonight, although that's just 50m rest for a bit, followed by another 50m).
Still another 8KG for me to get to my ideal weight, but this will be the hardest and slowest of my weight loss I think.

I'm back into training again, shoulder feels strong so far. I'll start updating here i think. just to join the party
I was about 79kg before i stopped training, I'm up around 86-87kg now. I was doing some weights before but I got over it pretty quickly, i'm already pretty square, if i bulked up more I'd like a little pitbull or brick or something ridiculous. _________________ Worst. Signature. Ever.

Looks like everyone is going towards losing some kilos over the summer!
I'm going down the more aerobic / cardio track to lose some weight, I don't think I'd be great with a bigger frame as I'm short. Doing a detox program as well, but I find that part pretty hard.
Started at 74kg over the weekend (aiming for about 68kg), and lost one kilo so far. I'm pretty satisfied with that so far. _________________ Playing: Fallout: New Vegas

cardio and body resistance is the best way to shed kilo's. RUN RUN RUN!!!!!!!!!!
I'm getting back into boxing and maybe even some kick. this with a routine of regular running is the best way to get fit.
Anyone here from Penrith area who'd be keen to do a river run should PM me. training with others is always good too because it makes you push a bit harder and stick to plans _________________ Worst. Signature. Ever.

Boxing is a great way to shed weight and tone muscle. I use to do a boxing circuit close to home when I was in high school and that’s easily when I was in the best shape of my life. Incredibly fit and toned thanks to that and breakdancing. I hadn’t done it for more than 5 years but when I joint my gym I got my personal trainer to incorporate boxing workouts.
Every time I go to the gym, (4-3 times a week) I do 5mins of shadow boxing, 3x 4mins nonstop on the punching bag, 2x 5mins on the speed ball and 4x 3mins nonstop skipping. By the time I finish those, I already feel rooted as but I feel absolutely fired up and ready to move on to the bike for 20km’s then weights and abs.
If people want to shed weight, tone up and work on cardio, doing a boxing circuit is definitely something I’d recommend doing. _________________

i thought i would post here and tell everyone whats going on. I was going great at the gym but again just like all through my life i quit it and just stuck it all back on again. Yep i know i am a loser but what can ya do. Anyway good news its the 4th day and i have walked every day. Cut down on heaps of food and released its not going to happen over night. See thats really my problem i want everything NOW and when it comes to weight loss its a slow process. The worst thing about being on this diet is the headaches i have had headaches at night mainly 4 days straight. If anyone has had caffeine withdrawal its really like that a bad headache but it kind of feels cold....
I am also not going to weigh myself because i really get addicted to numbers and all the rest of the shit. I have also noticed something today that made it really scary and made me really want to stick to this. I feel like this is some sort of addiction with me.... like i really like food but i want to have more and more and more. I know it sounds stupid but i really think its like being an alcoholic one glass is never enough.... I just keep thinking about that and i have not had one thought about giving up or whatever. This may sound stupid but if you think to yourself your sick and this is what you have to do than it makes it a bit easier.
I really do think this is the last chance i will get in losing the weight... i am just so sick of being self conscious. Of course i have no one to blame for this other than myself but yeah i am doing it. Maybe i should report in every week to keep me going but i know i will be. Other than Christmas day i plan to stick with this until i feel good enough to go into the beach shirtless..... I really wish everyone the luck who is exercising!!! You can do it and so can I! _________________

Stick with it Itachi! Check back each week! Do it! I'd probably cut the dieting out if it's causing head aches. That realllllllllly can't be good for you man. Just exchange soft drink for water, or eat smaller portions, but don't over do it. that's why you yo yo back up and down. You need to change a life style.
PM Me each week if you want with how many times you do exercise. I'll let you know what I do, that way you'll feel like you're letting someone down if you skip. It might help! _________________ Worst. Signature. Ever.

Headaches isn't a good thing. Know what is causing it? I know hunger can cause it (happened to me, that's why I don't have the privileged of hunger diets, lol). _________________ "Work hard now, play even harder later"

I found what works for me is just drinking water & having smaller portions. I try to cut out as much sugar as possible. Also you gotta put more out than you put in _________________

Get at it Itachi, once you set the daily routine and you're body adjusts you will have no trouble!!!
----
My update, is I find the gym extremely boring after my 6 months intensive, and I find im doing a small burst of gym sessions every 3 weeks or so..
Hit a small wall when I became addicted to BIG M Iced Coffee, the nutritional information said 'low fat' etc, but It took me 3 weeks to actually look at the sugar content.. bloody 60grams of sugar in a carton!!!
Which explains the 1 kilo I have put back on... but that should be easy enough to lose after xmas. Working in the liquor store with all its heavy lifting etc seems to be maintaining my fitness to some degree. so yeah.. overall im still going well.
but i really gotta start getting into toning now.. _________________ http://bencadphotography.com/

After talking to Itachi, I've decided its time to stop putting things off and start losing weight. I've been wanting to all year, but been focused on other things (gaming etc) and its been neglected.
I'm getting a new bike and plan to exercise daily and want to lose around 15-20kgs by April. I think this is very achievable.
I eat fairly healthy, just need to cut down and eating snacks when I get home from work at night. _________________

A trick I had is that if the snack isn't there, I don't eat it. Either don't buy them or get them locked up or hidden by someone else _________________ "Work hard now, play even harder later"

I do the same. Limit the snacks in the house. I'm notorious for not being able to walk past the cupboard or fridge without visiting either and finding something to munch on while i'm doing something, or waiting for something. _________________ Worst. Signature. Ever.

Well, its time for my update. I have gotten a new bike and have been riding daily since Monday. I ride for 45 mins and will be doing this 6 days a week.
Its been going well, but I just need to tighten up on my diet. I need to stop snacking and drink more water.
Also I have some dumbells, which are 8kg's each, any tips on how to tone the upper body?
Also how are you going Itachi? I know you would of forgot to update us. _________________

I went for a run monday, gym (mixed weights and cardio) tuesday, boxing wednesday, didn't do anything today though, to hot and tired. Hopefully ride down the mountains over weekend if it's not all on fire.
Andy, best way to tone upper is push ups, sit ups. With your hand weights, do normal curls, lift them straight out to side with straight arms, put your hands over your head and lower the weights behind your head, and punch the air with them at a nice constant pace for a minute or 2 at a time.
If your not pushing a weight that is close to your limit you'll get better results if you do the excersice for a period of time, and not just a set amount. you'll also notice your progression as you start getting more into the same amount of time

I agree with not weighting yourself all the time... It sorts gets confusing trying to figure out why you're 0.01kgs heavier/lighter than the day before Confusing, and complete pointless _________________
