To try and get some Aussie matchups (is this possible?) I thought it would be nice to add your gamertag here.
Mines due to arrive today, UPS.
What is the deal with playing with someone that has the Aus version and someone who has the Asian or Usa version, do they work the same or does everyone get the cuts when an Aus copy is present?

So in that sense someone with the Aus copy would see what they see, but others see the uncut one?
So what then happens when the Riot Cop comes out (which is removed entirely from the Aus version) ???

So say you have an Aus copy (my play-asia ntsc order should arrive today) what happens when playing with usa/asia/pal uncut people and the riot cop rocks out?
Still dont get it how they get around this?

The aussies have to sit around and draw rainbows and smiley faces on everything until he's killed, then we get to the super hardcore adopt-a-puppy stage, where you have to find it a good home while flower arranging.
What? Censorship doesn't affect gameplay at all.

I would say import it as I've played both the cut and uncut versions of the game and it's not even worth spending your own money on the cut version, it's that bad imo.

^it really is.This isnt like gta 4 where we got the cut version but noone could tell what was cut, within 5 secs youll see what was cut in l4d2 and 10 secs later youll regret your extremely unwise purchase.

A quick list of things taken out of the AU version.
Police Zombies (Why did they take this out?)
Bodies disappear almost instantly
Hardly any blood, no gore or dismemberment
Molotov's don't put Zombies on fire
Definitely do not get the cut version.

So can anyone confirm what happens when Aussies join? Wouldn't it put all of us here in games with other Aussies based on our IP?

I haven't really played it much, But im up for some games sometime. Im good at FPS but to be honest im not the best at this game. But hey i will give it a shot.

I haven't tried any online games but i think the game might have come out at a bad time as pretty much everybody on my friends list is playing either Assassins creed 2 or COD MW 2. I haven't seen a single person play L4D2.

It's worth importing if only for the fact you can get it about $20-$30 cheaper from Asia. My uncut version only cost about $62 (incl. post).
The difference is massive, the cut version lacks so much atmosphere compared to the uncut version. It feels like you are in one of those police shooting galleries, firing at paper targets compared to the uncut version.
I've also had trouble getting a game online, but haven't really tried that much. It was always really easy to get a game on the original, so I'm hoping things will pick up.
