A source of mine has confirmed that ACCLAIM has gone the way of the Dodo. I tried calling the Acclaim Australian offices but the number was disconnected.
Just in case anybody want to flame me for it: Here you go.
They do say however, that JUICED is not affected.
I don't know how that works since the game is slapped with tons of Acclaim signs slapped in the game, i'm sure if a new publisher decides to pick it up they'll be unhappy of the fact it'll cost too much money to change it.
Who would of thought? After the success of Turok: Evolution and Shadowman 2 one would think this company would stick around forever.

there has to be some effect for Juiced, ok the game is finished, but given that it's supposed to come out in a few weeks, it still needs to find a publisher, which it still hasn't as far as i am aware (admittedly i haven't really been searching all that hard for info regarding a new publisher, so maybe it has now already)
at the very least, the effect could be a delay of a week or so... removing all the acclaim logos and putting in new logos might take a little longer... at worst, it doesn't find a new publisher... _________________

What success? The only publicity they got was their deal to pay speeding fines on the day Burnout 2 was released, the advertising of Shadowman 2 on tombstones, and some loser who camped out to play an absolute failure of a franchise.
I'm not the least bit surprised. _________________

I do hope that comment is false and wasn't actually said...
I'm not that surprised really about this bankruptcy, Acclaim were popular during the N64 era due to the amount of games released and etc, this generation comes and you hear diddly-squat about them. Capcom and EA and even Midway have done soo much better. Oh, they've released decent games too.
Burnout series was their only good franchise and now EA have it.
As for Juiced, I do hope that still releases. It won't have anything on NFSU 2, but it looks pretty good... _________________

It's a shame that acclaim have gone under. I wonder if anyone will make AFL games as acclaim was the only one.
