Cheers! It was actually Painter 11, with slight sharpening done in Photoshop. _________________

Denny, you rock. I really love the "painted" feel of the last couple of images.
That said, I was also going to say I absolutely adore the glossy, vibrant look of the earlier few Alien/Space images.

Cheers guys, much appreciated.
3mt: difference between Photoshop and Painter is quite significant. Painter offers a MUCH more broad level of brush customisation and versatility, however it is very much purely a digital painters tool, while Photoshop has more ability in an overall sense.
I actually use both, though Photoshop more for a refinement and post processing use, the paintings themselves are entirely Painter. _________________

Woah Denny + Respect, I saw kratos and the orc
So im a 'light' programmer and i pretty much only know how to use MS Visual Express, ( C# code )
But im thinking of going into 3D ( Maybe Torque )
But i need a Modeling program for everything e.g Buildings ,Characters
But i dont have any experience in it and i was wondering if you guys could point me in the correct direction, with some manuals and programs.
I have already made a 2d Game and its in pre-alpha mode atm,

For starters, Blender is the way to go. It's an open source 3D modelling program, quite powerful as well. Most of the info and starter manuals should be on that site.
Keep in mind however 3D for games is much more time consuming and complex than 2D. There's a ton of things to take into account depending on the depth to which you go for development. This includes modeling characters to spec so you don't overdetail and lag the game, texturing and UV maps, then eventually for animation, rigging and solid levels of animation skill. So if you are keen, be prepared as well, as it requires a lot of dedication. _________________

When i opened it up i was very * WTF!? * you could say it was confusing.
I will start looking in blender more if you recommend it.

Yeah, I would recommend using Blender too. I'm a super noob at 3d modelling, but once you get used to the interface, you'll see that it's quite intuitive. _________________

i think the dark lips and colored eyes jar you when looking at it too much.
lines may be a bit thick but not something so noticeable.
other than that it is a truely remarkable work of black and white portait underneath. maybe a version in just plain black and white might look interesting, although i do understand the interest of the colored eyes. _________________

Was resetting up my tools in Painter due to my windows 7 clean install, and through it was just fiddling with brushes to see if my settings were right. Kind of ended up going even further and eventually doodling some random painting like this:

Time to update on 3D work.
Been doing a lot of research and such for a Wolf I'm making for my diploma animation. This time round went into a lot of work for it, including texture work and such.
So we started off modeling the base mesh in Lightwave, and came out with this:
The face looks more like that of a pigs. Time to high detail it so we can get some viciousness going, as my wolf needs to look evil and menacing. Few hours of sculpting and such in Zbrush and we have this:
Progress! Unfortunately I didn't get a pic of it with the finer details in, like scars and such, but you get the picture. Let's test the head to see if the mapping works okay..
It works! Now to just fine tune it all so there's no odd glitches and texture errors. Right we've got it sculpted, so we export, bring back into LightWave and quickly add a test fiber onto it...
Couple of rendering artifacts, but it's working. Lots of fine tuning to do. That and it looks more like a dog. Hours of tweaking and research on wolf fur later..
Eyyy! It's almost there. There's a small glitch where the fur turns totally white for some reason on his arse. K let's fix that up. Once it's fixed, I rig the model, do test poses to check for deformations, and decide to make a fancy pic too. Posed, composited a background image, touched up, and...
I've got myself an evil looking wolf.
Quite happy with the result. Still working on tweaks constantly etc, as it is for an animation and there'll be a lot of movement, but yeah, happy with the fur and the look! _________________

Fantastic colouring on the picture, nice soft touches with the red in particular. I also like the blend technique you've used, gives it an unusual cel-shaded feel. Awesome angle as well.
And your signature is epic. _________________
