So, I joined my work's Movember Team today - if you don't know, it's a fundraising event designed to raise money, and spread awareness, for Men's Health Issues by growing wacky moustaches over the course of the month.
it's going to be interesting for me, part of the rules are that you must be clean shaven on the first of November - something i haven't been since high-school - 12 years ago.
so if you feel like parting with a couple of dollars for a good cause - follow this link and with any luck it's pretty straight-forwards.
and in case you're wondering - i'll be taking photos. not sure how regularly, but i'll definitely have one pre-clean-shave, and one post-shave, and then, at the very least, once a week after that.
i might even take style suggestions into account - though i'm kinda leaning toward the Charlie Chaplin at present....

Such a good cause!! My bestie's Dad passed away a few years ago due to prostate cancer. He was only 49 
So she's rounding up all the boys to take part. I encourage every guy out there to be lazy and miss that part on top of the lip..just for a month... it won't hurt.... only us ladies who will have to put up with the good old pash rash

I signed up, was going to create a thread on Sunday (seeing as it's the first) but I guess you've beaten me to it now. I'll have to shave off the goatee Sunday morning which is a shame, it was getting pretty thick.
I'll throw up my link on Sunday with before and after shave shots. I think I'm going to go for the guru cross beatnik look.

so here we are... Movember 1st, 2009.

and, one hour later:
it was surprisingly hard to shave my goatee. not from an emotional point of view, just that the hairs there were so damn thick and tough, it was just a real chore to get rid of them. i went over the area 3-4 times as if from scratch, and my chin and upper lip still feel like sand-paper.
i am, however, reminded why i made the decision to grow a goatee in the first place though... it's so much easier than all that shaving...

I'm 21 and I can't grow any facial hair so I will just usually donate to the dudes at my work.

Two of my friends doing this started 3 weeks ago. One has what I guess you could call half a week's worth for a regular person, maybe. The other still has none.
Mine will be shit, but compared to my friends, its going to be amazing. Thats just because their's are going to be that bad.

Okay, challenges accepted boys, I must say though, my hair growth has sped up somewhat in the past year.
I shaved on the 1st Nov after the PALGN meet the previous day, here's me today, 5 days on.
Now as that's only pretty low resolution, it may be hard to see my hairs, so I have uploaded a full 21.1MP version (albeit at jpg quality 3 to be uploadable) for your viewing pleasure.
