Since November is the time of uni exams, would end of November be fine for everyone since some people here goes to uni...
Event wise, still thinking of either a picnic or a bbq for lunch and maybe just walk around the city looking at random stuff. Possible pitstop at Darling Harbour for some laser tag madness. _________________ "Work hard now, play even harder later"

Yeah towards the end of November will definitely be a lot better for me as I'll be clear of any other outside distractions and be ready to relax quite a lot
I'm liking the idea of a picnic/BBQ quite a lot too though we will of course need to figure out a good spot for a BBQ if we go down that route but there are certainly lots of great places to have a picnic if we want to do that - the Botanic Gardens springs to mind for some nice shenanigans _________________

I like it how whenever a sydney meet is planned for palgn users the interest seems to fizzle but melbourne meets seem to go off, it must be us sydneysiders _________________ RIP Buddha 19/10/1952 - 03/01/2004

It doesn't help that we're all spread out over Sydney, but to get to the city and make it a central thing is hard because a) public transport is ****ing ****, and b) there's nowhere to park.
The Sydney PALGNers are a more... diverse group than the Melbourne bunch too which makes choosing something to do harder.
I'm moving to Melbourne. _________________

Yeah, biggest let down here is the poor public transport. I have thinking of putting the meetup in the following location:
Bicentennial Park, problem with that is train to Straithfield or Parramatta and then catching the 525 (good luck trying to find the 525 bus, gotta love lack of directions). It is a huge grassy area with bbqs, great for food, social and activities.
Beaches, public transport problem again.
Botanic Garden, possibly the best place so far to put a picnic, also Darling Harbour (when nothing is happening, however, it does get windy, past experience) or Hyde Park or even Belmore Park.
Most most likely it will just be a picnic follow by walking around the city a bit and then sit down and chat again. No LAN this time but maybe just a few minutes at the arcade if anyone cares, or even a ice-hockey match to see who is the best in ice-hockey. _________________ "Work hard now, play even harder later"

Fine by me, I'm not overly fussed where we go. It's the company that really matters. _________________

I also have an automobile and last time I checked, it was working. So I can also provide lifts for people whom request them.
Between Jeremy from the north, and me from the south we already have half of Sydney covered.

Why not meet up at george st or market city. eveyone (kellyville excluded) has access to a train or a car.
Hit up some arcades, get some food, talk some sh1t. easy. Maybe get some hot pot from china town, that's always a good group thing. or some kebabs and munch out in the park near central. plans don't need to be complicated. In fact for the first couple of outings making them as simple as possible is the way to go. _________________ Worst. Signature. Ever.

I wouldn't mind hotpot but will other people willing to have hotpot too? if they know what it is (sorry, I got used to everyone being like my other half, a NOOB in food). And yeah, usually the starting meetup is either at Town Hall or Central.
But yeah, yay or nay for November 21st? _________________ "Work hard now, play even harder later"

Relax (poor thing, scared of hotpot) *me hugs Jeremy*. Beside, if there was one, I demand SPICY or nothing at all!!!.
Most likely it will just be a pitstop in a food court like last time, more variety of food. Everyone likes different stuff.
Pitt St Mall food court does have a huge range of different food compared to many foodcourts in the city, so possibly it will be there again and then maybe just walk around the city and head to Hyde Park to sit down and have a chat or something like that. _________________ "Work hard now, play even harder later"

As long as there is no LAN I guess I can make it, but if you decide to have a LAN again I'm out. _________________ RIP Buddha 19/10/1952 - 03/01/2004

^There will be no lan, but how about a few minutes in the arcade though?
I also had a plan for something which I think I didn't mentioned yet (still need to think of the prizes though, might just be random capsules from Captiol Square) but I want to have like a Sydney Meet Ice-hockey competition which I will pay for all of the matches and there will be at least 3 prizes I can think of, the winner, the people's choice and a secret prize (well, achievements have secret, so why don't I ) . _________________ "Work hard now, play even harder later"

*phew* Thanks Long story short, Jeremy + hotpot = death... or an experience would resemble death :S
But yeah, 21st has some life in it and you've made some interesting suggestions... Looking forward to see what else is said. _________________

Nov. 21 is good for me
I'm not fussed with what happens with food; hotpot or the food court again is fine
Im cool with the arcade if thats what everyone wants. Sadly I fail badly at Ice Skating but I will compete to give the other team an easy win _________________
