Playing Saints Row 2 via co-op with Toolman of these forums. We start a mission which has us defending a warehouse while one AI controlled character runs off to steal a truck and another AI character helps defend the warehouse. AI with truck comes back and both AI characters are supposed to help load the truck but one character isn't around so the truck never finishes getting loaded so the mission needs to be cancelled and restarted. Thankfully Toolman did some research on the net and found it's a common problem with co-op for SR2 and to get around it you need to kill and revive the AI character helping you guard the warehouse before the one going for the truck gets back.
Another SR2 co-op mission has us taking out one of the Samedi bosses, the voodoo guy. Somehow during the mission his health started healing and then he got back to full strength and no matter what we did we couldn't make his health drop.
Nearly caused me to throw my controller in anger _________________ RIP Buddha 19/10/1952 - 03/01/2004

A recent one I've just encountered is the final level in Trine. It's one of the easiest games around, but then the last level throws every difficult platforming staple in the rule book to frustrate you. Lava that slowly fills the room so you need to hurry climbing the level. Obstacles spawning in the level right in the middle of your jump. Rotating platforms (doesn't sound difficult, but believe me, in a game that revolves around physics, your jumps need to be perfect). And there's a lot more I haven't mentioned. Once you figure out the best route to take, it becomes a little easier (though you still need perfect execution). There's also a trophy for finishing this level on Very Hard with no deaths, bloody hard I tell you. I raged when I got right to the end of the level with no deaths, defeated all the enemies, and with one simple jump to the end of the level to go, I clumsily fall into the lava pit. _________________

This just in, the final part of ODST (in the car) i've encountered a weird bug where the gunner only shoots every four or five seconds. I've heard the phrase 'Boom. Phantoms Inbound' about 84 times now. I hate this game so much. Might be the first game I ever trade in.

Am I the only one who found the last boss in Half Life 2 - Episode 2 really annoying?
It took me ages and many, many restarts trying to take down those many striders, while trying to fend off those hunters. All while my computer decided to lag. Man, that was hard. _________________

Your not the only one and although I loved the style of it, it was hard enough to finish it without going for the achievement as well.

bah, this crappy sit-at-turrent-and-gun-down-aeroplanes segment in killzone 2 is absolutely shitting me. i don't get it really. it doesn't even seem that hard, but then it just keeps going and going, and by the time i'm out of missiles, it's just impossible to keep up.
anyone else have trouble with this part? it wouldn't bother me so much except for the fact that it's a completely un-fun part of the game to be forced to do over and over, let alone once. bleh.... _________________ DON'T SURRENDER

Visions by Abnormality from Rock Band 2. This song is the only thing stopping me from wanting to do the Endless Setlist on Hard using guitar (I can get though every other on disc song on Hard except for that). I had to do my Bladder of Steel achievement run on Medium because of it.
It is, however, ridiculously easy on vocals (putting on the metal growl is always fun). _________________ My Collection: http://users.ign.com/collection/KogiKaishakunin

Character Challenges in Street Fighter IV.
I know I've said it numerous times on these forums but these really suck balls. The concept is fine - learn how to do increasing difficult combos with each character. But its just handled so ineptly...
Why add 14 hit combos that have a 1 frame window each between moves/button presses when a simple 4 hit combo its infinitely easier to do AND takes off more damage? And 99% of the time more practical in a real match.
It should be a fun way of learning the intricacies of each character, a way that imparts practical game play techniques instead of one-button link combos that have no place in any serious vs match.
On top of that not having any sort of demonstration on what you are expected to do is just plain crazy. So many times I'd be spending hours on a challenge only to not know what the game is asking of me (C.Viper I'm looking at you)
I really hope Super Street Fighter IV get this right. If not don't have them at all. _________________

I couldn't agree more. In theory it was a great idea, just didn't come out as good. _________________ XBL - myzz

I think this should be noted as an irritating element in gaming:
TERRIBLE VOICE ACTING.
I sat down late last night to play Final Fantasy X for the first time in a long time, and remembered why I didn't quite dig it as much as I should have, the first time around. Same goes for Shenume on original release.
It particularly irks me when, like the games mentioned above, there is so much production value ($$$) behind a title, only to skimp on something as highly valuable to a game's overall environment as voice acting.
I can understand how the first Resident Evil managed to get away with it (thankfully, they rectified this in the sequels), as the terrible voice acting unfortunately sat with the B-grade zombie movie scenario. _________________

^^ The Tidus "ha ha ha ha ha" moment was priceless..
I don't think I'm the only one but i hate having to protect NPCs in a game, I'm playing silent hill 4 and I'm trying to get the good ending but its so hard not having Eileen get all beat up and bloody. >.<

Still baffles me some people say this guy was hard. I finished this game on all difficulties in under a week and RAAM to me was an utter pansy.
|
He was impossible for me so i didnt play it for like a year,
Came back tried on a lower setting..Still hard
Decided to do it on easy and work up the difficulty levels, and i can promise you the RAAM i had to kill on normal was harder then the RAAM i had to kill on INSANE.
Lol, if your stuck just work up from easy to Insane.

Agreed. Half of the combo just aren't practical. It really annoys me there are a bunch of achievements tied up in completing this mode as well. Very frustating. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Puzzle Quest
When your ahead by about 60 Hp (that's alot, no really it is) then the opponent gets about 5 four in a row giving him 5 turns, a crap-load of mana and then starts using spells like crazy which basically kills you.
And don't get me started on the bosses in this game _________________ Currently Playing : Atelier Iris 2 (PS2), Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii), Legend of Heroes : Trails of the Sky (PSP), 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors (DS) and Final Fantasy XIII (PS3)

I think that the voice acting is the reason why FFX isn't treated as one of the if not the best Final Fantasy as it is in Japan.
I have to say though, people give the laughing scene way too much shit. Its not that bad when you watch it in context. The internet has completely taken it apart and half of the videos on the net making fun of it are only showing bits and pieces.

I loved Puzzle Quest for the longest of times, until I got to the end and found I'd made some bad choices when leveling my character and the boss battle was more or less impossible. Rage quit. Haven't been back since. _________________

I found the uplinks in inFamous to be easy, actually. I'm more peeved about the clue/sightseeing orbs in Prototype. _________________
