Better be a no more than $20 DLC, but knowing Capcom it probably won't.

Nope, Kotaku is reporting that its an all new stand alone release with 8 new characters... meaning you will have to buy the game again!

The game will not be sold at full retail price.

I wont be shelling out more then 30 bucks! You hear me CAPCOM! Its not the 90s anymore!

I still haven't got around to buying SF4, even though I'm a fan of the series. Good news for me, in a way. I might hold back from buying until I hear more about this. I can always play mate's copies of SF4 until next year if it isn't gonna be too far away.

No I'm just saying I'm happy to pay full price. I think I payed like 50 for SF4 thanks to trade bait. But I've also spent around $600 on arcade sticks icon_cool.gif

For 8 new characters and the supposed "substantial" update. This isn't a rip off at all even if it was full price. The differences between most of the popular 3D and 2D fighters in their sequels is much less than what's in this coming version of SF4.

I think the timing is just too close to the originals release. Also remember this is Capcom. They love rereleasing things icon_razz.gif.

Juri will probably be known as Juli in the Western release of the game, having appeared in the series before.

I'm pretty sure Juli from Alpha3 and the newly announced Juri are 2 different characters, especially considering Juli is German, and Juri is South Korean (according to their character bio).

Very much looking forward to this. Even moreso if the rumoured enhancements turn out to be true.

Supposedly there will also be some sort of bonus or incentive for people who also own SF4. 'Spring' 2010 (for the Northern Hemisphere) is still a while to go though.

I'd say all the original characters will be unlocked from the get go anyway. I hope the stance the game to be an extension of SFIV and have achievements/trophies leading on from that.

I also hope they have all new anime/intro endings. It's suppose to be set a year after SFIV so that would be cool. Probably dreaming though....

If anything I would think that our current save data will compatible with this enhanced version.

Paid $120 for Super SFII on SNES back in the day (was worth every penny at the time). After failing to enjoy the generic 3D blandess of SF4, I'll be giving this one a miss. Back to 3S I suppose...
