Ok, over 1200 games. Work it out. Lets say he gets them cheap even. He might've got alot of games at 15 dollars or whatever. If he paid 15 dollars for each game, he's spent $18,000 on that collection. Waste of money right there.

^in what sense?A waste of money in the sense that games overall are a waste of money?
Or that he will never make the money back(which he most definetely will if he were to sell them)?
Explain? _________________

I decided to document my somewhat eclectic gaming collection and have been taking some pictures, which I thought I'd share.
I'm what you would call an opportunistic collector, I rarely seek out specific games or consoles. I'm also no purist, I don't need things to be mint, I usually just want to play the game. One day I might get serious and start refining my collection, but most of what I am about to show you came to me by chance. I have also bought and sold a lot of stuff over the years, so my gaming collection, excluding current generation games, has not cost me a cent in the long run.
This is a work in progress, there are more pictures to come.
Here we have a ColecoVision, rescued from the side of a road. As you may have noticed, it is a little dirty. This is after I pulled the case off and scrubbed it in hot water with dishwashing detergent several times. It was so filthy and neglected when I found it, it will probably need a few more washes before all the dirt is gone. And yes, it still actually works, though the original controllers are kind-of shot. The games were just as filthy, but after using liberal amounts of isopropyl alcohol on the pin connectors, I got 15 out of 16 games working. The game without a label is Turbo, I believe. I just realised, I'm like the RSPCA for games...
Some more consoles. I bought the NES new about 17 years ago. One new pin connector and a replacement loading mechanism later and she is still going strong. Wish I never gave away my toploader.
Some MegaDrive games, varying from near mint to found under a rock somewhere.
An Atari, the 'Darth Vader' model, so-called due to it's mastery of the Sith arts. Or because it's black, I forget. Also, a smattering of games. I had more, but sold them when I temporarily contracted poverty.
Some more consoles, most of which were rescued from hard rubbish collection, complete with all cables and a couple of games (neither pictured). Have not tested or cleaned these yet. Also, NES, MegaDrive and other accesories.
Still to come: NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, PC ofcourse, Xbox 360. Plus some very special guests, stay tuned...

So here is the 'new' collection, I feel much better with it now honestly.
There'd be even less there if I didn't have doubles of all my Final Fantasy games lol _________________ http://bencadphotography.com/

I couldn't resist .
General Tagge: Lord Vader, your inside references to the Los Angeles real estate market haven't given you the clairvoyance to turn a profit on that condo in Glendale. Nor has it...
Darth Vader: [Vader begins to choke him] I find your lack of faith disturbing. That property is in a prime location! Twenty minutes to the beach, twenty minutes to downtown!
General Tagge: [choking] There's....nothing....to do...downtown!
Grand Moff Tarkin: Enough of this! Vader, release him!

first of all, i have to apologise profusely to gizmocreative for taking so f**king long in getting this organised. my camera died some months ago, and although i was without a camera for ages, it didn't even click that my new mobile had a camera of decent-ish quality to take photos of this awesome gift he sent through.
so here it finally is. a gameguide of MGS3, from China.
contains the usual walkthru stuff.
but under the items sections, it uses real photos of the weapons, instead of ingame screen-shots.
Likewise, some of the character profiles use photos of the people, where they were historical figures, obviously.
and finally, and what takes up most of the book, what looks to be the game's script.
once again, i apologise to gizmo for being a total pleb about this, it's sitting on my shelves now, amongst the rest of my MG stuff.
EDIT: oh, and no, i don't speak or read chinese, so some of my descriptions might be completely off the mark (and potentially spoilers ) so forgive me if i've made any errors. _________________

Hey folk. I thought I'd share a few pics with y'all. The vast majority of my game collection is in storage unfortunately, so what you're seeing (and this is a conservative guess) is less than about 5% of a greater whole. I've been a collector of games for well over 15 years by now, but really haven't been actively so in the last few years, so I haven't been as quick on the uptake with the current generation (to the point where I would describe my efforts during this generation as 'casual').
I moved into an apartment late last year, and it came to decide as to whether my videogames or my record collection would be on show -- I decided on the latter (much more picturesque and people friendly, haha), pics of which are buried elsewhere amongst this forum. I certainly realised where my loyalties lay well before that; on November 21, 2004, I found myself blowing hundreds of dollars on jazz and soul records in Chicago, as opposed to... well, you should be able to answer that if you're the keen type. If you're lazy, I've prepared this handy URL for you to visit http://tinyurl.com/kny4pm
But, hey, here's some pics of some modern handheld stuff. This is the stuff that's currently in the apartment, and is by no means a complete representation of each console (I have more from these consoles in storage). I've forgone putting up photos of the newer consoles; surely you've all seen enough DS and PSP's in your lives
Neo Geo Pocket
Unboxed Cardfighters Clash: Capcom, Cardfighters Clash: SNK, Dark Arms, Fatal Futury: First Contact, Gal Fighters, King Of Fighters R2, Match Of The Millenium, Metal Slug: 1st Mission, Metal Slug: 2nd Mission, Pac-Man, Pocket Tennis Color, Puzzle Bobble Mini, Puzzle Link 2, Samurai Showdown 2
Bandai Wonderswan
Sony PSP
Nintendo DS

OMG WOW, ive just spent last nite and today(about 2 hours) looking at every page and I could write something positive about every single picture posted, Im soo upset I got rid of most of my collection, I couldnt sleep last nite after looking at the 1st 32 pages
Id love to write something about every single foto but time and space are stopping me from doin so so ill just comment on my favourite 3
Wheres Tales Of Legendia? I LOVE this collection(ALL ur PS2 RPGs), almost identical to my PS2 collection.
EB Games has nothing on you!! Thats amazing!!
My favourite picture of them all. 3 of my favourite games of all time; SoM, CT & Ogrebattle.
What can I say cept wow and the pic below it of the Final Fantasies, im pitchin a tent over here!!
Throwing my temp setup with most things missing, as im in between houses and most of the stuff is in the garage waiting for the next move.
Dont mind the mess & dust
Street Fighter Anniversary sticks that get thrashed with King Of Fighters
The front one was recently modded to work for the X360 wirelessly, still not finished tho.
My pride and joy, my very very limited edition purple PS2.
Once I shift and have everything setup ill post pics of my complete collection... or whats left of it _________________
