I wonder how much the 250GB HDD will cost on its own. Suitably overpriced, I assume.

Yeah, I need a bigger HDD, 20Gb just doesn't cut it. But there's no way I'm dropping $200 for a 120Gb drive. I shudder to think what M$ would charge for a 250Gb! I guess I'll just wait until my 360 red rings.

You know you can get a 120GB HDD off eBay for about $90, right?

DOH.. Just picked up an Elite with Halo 3, Halo ODST (when it comes out), Kung Fu Panda and Lego Indiana Jones for $429 at Harvey Norman and was all chuffed thinking I had the best Xbox there was to get and paid under $500 for it!!!

Now I have envy again!

That being said, this'll cost BIG for the branding as well as the hard drive..

You mean like that FREE transfer kit that you can request from MS and send to you in less than 10 days VIA registered post?

nah not interested. isn't appealing to the eyes, just an increase in price and an hd that is too big.

What is this transfer kit? cause i have been looking to upgrade to a bigger hard drive but the thought of loosing all my data is a little worrying, - this is an appealing pack especially cause i have the release console which is way out of date now and eb wont give me 15 bucks for it cause of the out dated CPU or something.

*looks at the 30gb he has left of his 120*

Please release the drive seperately, Microsoft.

I wonder how it could $100 more for a bigger hard drive and being without a blu-ray player like a PS3? Not trying to be a sony lover, but I'm just confused by the industry and its many mysteries. I personally don't see this selling very well, people who already have an Xbox probably wouldn't go for this one since its just a big hard drive, and people who don't have a 360 will more likely be enticed by the Playstation, unless they really want Halo or some exclusive

I just barely cope with my 60GB 360 by only allowing 3 installations. So I assume installation plays a part in needing a bigger drive (I mean, who doesn't want a quieter drive?). And the future, we are heading towards digital distributions more so than now, so people will need space for stuff purchased online. Not to mentioned the popularity of DLC.

I second Sin, please make is separate too!!! Me may need more storage in the future!!! (I could just get 120GB anyway but yeah icon_razz.gif, it's never too big!!!)

I'm still using my 20GB harddrive. 120GB just doesn't seem substantial enough to throw down the cash for. If they replace the 120GB with the 250GB with the same RRP (which I think they might do eventually, wouldn't surprise me if they announced it at TGS) then I'd buy one, as I'd be able to safely install all my games.
