My only problem is that you can't see how many points you have for bass. I just got a bit more than a million for guitar, and got a million for bass earlier today, no idea if I can see how many points I have though. But I love how in the song selection you can press blue on the guitar to switch between bass and guitar scores, it's a nice touch. Now, back to playing! Oh, and my EB only had 2 copies for each console, ridiculous.

I noticed a couple of days ago that in neither JB or EB were there any display cases, any advertising, no evidence at all that the game was coming soon or that it even existed. Guitar Hero 5? Giant banners.
I don't get it.

Easy. Everyone knows the Guitar Hero game. I have even read people saying that a Guitar Hero game based on The Beatles is coming out soon >.<. But hopefully this makes Rock Band more popular everywhere, mainly Australia though. I don't know anyone with Rock Band, but I know people with Guitar Hero. But all my friends with GH that play Rock Band say it is as good or better than GH.

I really don't think it matters that everyone knows Guitar Hero. If this game was a new stand alone game (ie. not Rock Band or Guiar Hero) it would still sell insanely well. I think you are underestimating the power of The Beatles. I think it's just incredibly stupid marketing by EA. _________________

We can only put up the posters people give us!
Also most companies will hire merchandisers and send them out to stores, along with posters and set up a display. We often have Nintendo reps come in store and install new POS merchandising.
Mostly out of our control to be honest. _________________ Kill each other nicely please.

Apparently All You Need is Love is only a timed exclusive? And wouldn't these songs be bigger than normal RB songs, because of the dream scapes?

I downloaded it before and the file ended up being a touch under 20MB. Either Harmonix have some brilliant compression software or I've just downloaded a 20MB unlock key. At least my 160 space bucks are going to Doctors Without Borders, giving a starving African child the chance to download a picture pack or something. _________________ Level 3 | News Hit | Twitter

Did anyone realise that while singing, if you have a 4 times multiplier and do good on the line, it says fab, so it kinda says Fab 4, which I'm sure everyone knows is what a lot of people call The Beatles.

Absolutely love the work put into the presentation to this. That opening movie just oozed love. Love all the tracks included but one of my favorite tracks "Because" didn't make the cut. Here's hoping it will appear as DLC soon.
The psychedelic clips were a delight, even though the fluro parts almost blinded me. Absolutely gorgeous. What's even more amazing is the mastering on the tracks themselves. Able to separate the the different instruments and vocals apart. Amazing. This is top class production for a top class musical act.
Were stores short supplied for the standalone game? JB had the lone copy left when I got there at 5:20pm for the 360, none for PS3 but a few for Wii. None at EB but Big W seems to have at least 6 for each console. Odd. _________________

Strange, because there were a few around where I live :/
My JB/Big W/EB had tons of copies of it last night when I picked up my band set.
I love my suburb some times.
Also, was tripping balls to the dreamscapes, then suddenly
GIANT MCCARTNEY HEAD.
bricks.

Well, I've completed the Story Mode on Guitar. I went for completing the game in under 24 Hours Trophy (but I was 30 mins to late to get it lol).
This is game is great and had me addicted from start to finish. I'll definately will be playing it again with the other instruments and will try for 5 stars on all songs, so I can unlock all the photo's.
My only dissapointment with the game is they included some of there not so well known songs (atleast to me anyway) rather than including more of the popular ones/gems, eg ObLa De, Hey Jude, Let it Be etc.
Overall I loved the experience and thought the presentation and movies were polished and awesome and I'll be definately playing this on a regular basis. _________________

I like this, as it let's a lot more people experience where the beatles came from. If it was their top 10 hits, it would be pretty boring.

Oh, is the complete the career in 24 hours real time? I thought that was the easiest trophy in the game as I thought it was total time. Looks like I won't be getting it first time then.

It's simple:
Activision Advertises
EA leaves it dead in the water.
Have you seen the amount of Media Coverage EA's got for not getting Rock Band here out on time, etc?
Exactly. _________________

Yeah it's 24 hours real time, I finished it up in one session last time for the Day Tripper achievement.

| Quote: | Hey everybody,
Hope you are enjoying The Beatles: Rock Band (or will be soon). I wanted to give two clarifications that may be important to you so as to avoid crazed speculation, conspiracy theories, or other somesuch.
FIRST- Our new guitars have an adjustment to their firmware. What does this mean? It means that you need to hold the start button/navigation button down for a little while to make it function. Why is this good? No more butter fingers accidentally pausing the game or bringing up the console navigation thing and stopping the music with their floundering. A win for all!
SECOND - Yes there is a code on the back of the manual. It doesn't do anything. It is our habit to serialize all our games like this.
I hope you all are really enjoying the game and I am wicked pleased to have it out in the world now. If you have any pictures of parties or waiting in line or any other fun make sure to tweet them to @rockband or post links on the forums. We'd love to see!

I really love this game, finally, a game that i actually know most of the words to, and a proper reason to sing out loud ^^. My dad's a real beatles fan so naturally so am i (you would be too if you woke up to the beatles playing every weekend).
it has a number of my fav songs like octopuses garden, sgt peppers lonely harts club band, taxman, hey bulldog, and i am the walrus, i want you (she's so heavy) (i thought this wouldn't make it just because it's so long!!!) but i missed; black bird, eleanor rigdby, maxwell's silver hammer (awesome song XD ), happiness is a warm gun, and omg, help! how can they not have help!?? i thought it was a sure song to land on there. i really hope there is lots and LOTS of downloadable content that at the moment, i do not have the money to download *sighs*
i would list more songs that i want, but i might as well just name almost all their songs and no ones going to read that. _________________

Well Abbey Road comes out next month, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band in November and Rubber Soul in December, so some there is heaps of DLC so we will be able to play Maxwell's Silver Hammer soon!
I'm in the process of trying to 5 start every song. Great game!
And I also downloaded All You Need Is Love and it's awesome. _________________

Hmm, thinking about getting the band kit of this, I've never liked plastic guitar games but vocals and drums will be cool for Beatles.
Trying to decide what platform to get it on, Wii or PS3. Wii is at the top because the console is the smallest, easily portable etc to bring around to people's places, reviews say it's the same on Wii, DLC and all, but obviously the graphics will be low res. Can't see myself dragging PS3 around, but obviously better graphics and easier DLC etc is cool. 360 is right out, I'm buying one soon but no way I'd invest $300+ in band gear (thus locking me in for music games to that platform) on such an unreliable piece of hardware.

Me too! gotta get all them 5 stars! Only have 10 more songs left to do it in, think I might do it today ^^
I'm currently 20 credits short of All You Need Is Love... it is sad. But thanks for updating me on the DLC releases!!! I am totally psyched! _________________

I've 5 starred a few, but only have a few true 5 starred songs with 100% notes hit, the others range from 96 - 99 (i blame a faulty guitar for most of them..... and a minority where i stupidly mistimed the strum).

Ok, I bought this based on the MASS HYSTERIA in this thread. And you know what, I love this game! I agree, finally a RB/GH game with great lyrics and music in almost every song. I'm basically playing it with just the mic first, like Singstar, and it is still brilliant fun. Can't wait to get the "band" together. I'm no Beatles expert but I really liked the famous songs as well as the less famous ones. Didn't realise they sung some of those songs. It's an education, a very enjoyable one. Now that I have heard Taxman, there is no looking back. Yeah, yeah, I'm the taaxxxmaaann!!! Classic! _________________ nting.
