Yeah dude, Dido is an awesome female singer.
I went through a stage where Black Betty annoyed me, only cause it's killed on every radio station. Still a good song though.

Song: Kobrakai
Band: Lostprophets
Score: 9/10
Why: Someone gave me a Weird Al album with 6 extra tracks, 3 Blink 182 (I really don't like that band..) and the Lostprophets. After hearing one of their songs on the NFS:U soundtrack, I decided to have a listen, and out of the 3 (Kobrakai, A Thousand Apologies, and Last Train Home) it's the only one I can bear to listen to. _________________

the original original was a black slave song from the states, black betty was pidgin speak for the slavers whips... consequently its nothing like Spiderbaits version... the next big version was a blues dude by the name of Leadbelly in the '40s i think... again still about slaving and quite a slow bluesy rootsy song... pretty good if you can track it down...
the Spiderbat version is actually a direct cover of a cover from the '80s by a group called Ram Jam... and pretty '80s rock/disco styled...
currently listening the The Von Bondies "Come On" from the Pawn Shoppe Heat album...
VB = best detroit group since the stooges... _________________

Lost Prophets are bad so I'm glad you're smart enough to at least realise that.
